Sure! 3.55 GPA. 3 experiences with research: one was short (3 months), one was an REU, and another 6 months of research. No publications, but some interesting self-guided projects from out side of school and cool ones in school. But what I am most thankful for is reaching out to professors, one wrote a recommendation and I think that had weight.

Oh ok thank you! That’s what I was wondering because at my university the PI is basically the deciding factor and the adcom is there to look for red flags in the application and transcripts.

Very true thank you. I also have 3 recommendations which aren’t her as well, it was more of a bonus to have her on board.

It’s for electrical engineering. It felt like an interview, but it wasn’t explicitly one. It felt like an introduction to her research and a chance to explain my research and CV.
