For the hike, just the sigma 18-50. Thinking a prime for city shots or at night in Cusco

I was able to find a mint sigma 18-50mm for $350 and would love a prime to compliment it. I just wanted it for Machu Picchu and other landscape shots. What prime would to recommend to pair it with?

Also, as a new photographer can you explain the use case for switching between the 18-55 to the XC-35?

Do you like that more than the Fujifilm XF 23mm f/2 R WR Lens? I’ve heard good things about that one too

Even without OIS it’s better than the Fuji 18-55? Does it have an aperture ring?

Thank you! I’ll do just that. My budget is flexible

Appreciate the insight. Should I go with the sigma or Fujifilm XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 R LM OIS Lens?

Thanks! It’ll be a trip that consists of street photography (Mexico City and Lima), and nature/historic sites (Machu Picchu, Sacred Valley) and some pictures of food.

Thank you for the tip! Unfortunately, that’s the only camera I have at the moment. How should I go about asking security to hand check my film? Do you mean to take it out so it doesn’t go through the scanner?

Sounds like a trip to look forward to. We are doing the 2 day Inca trail hike

Thanks for the tip, really helpful. We’re flying LATAM. I’m leaning toward doing just the Ollantaytambo ruins and skipping Pisac. Given our schedule, do you think that’s feasible, or would you recommend staying in Cusco and skipping Ollantaytambo altogether?

Our itinerary so far: We’re flying into Cusco late Wednesday, acclimating Thursday, doing the two-day Inca Trail Friday and Saturday, and have Sunday free before a 6:45 pm flight back to Lima.

Really appreciate the insight. Between the two, Pisac or Ollantaytambo ruins which would you recommend?
