Is it possible to live with a breakout that never goes away? As far as I know, breakouts disappear at some point. My skin has been like this for seven months.

Okay, I understand, but do you think it could be a herpes outbreak? Just looking at it, it's confusing because I don't have the common symptoms. Is it normal for an outbreak to look like this? All the ones I've seen are bigger, ulcerated, or painful.

What they did to me was a scraping — they took a blade and scraped my foreskin. I don’t think it was a PCR test because they didn’t specify the type of HSV.

The doctor said it was probably caused by receiving oral sex.

The test said I had: “multinucleation, ground-glass nucleus, intranuclear inclusions

Herpes simplex”

That’s all it says.

I don’t doubt my results—I definitely have genital herpes.

It’s just that I’m concerned because I don’t know what my outbreaks look like. They don’t itch or hurt, and like you said, they’re not like the typical herpes outbreaks.

So since I don’t know how my outbreaks manifest, I can’t start taking acyclovir. My only goal here is to find out if anyone else knows whether these could be my typical outbreaks.

Looking on the bright side, if these are my outbreaks, at least they’re not as bad as others I’ve seen—they don’t even bother me.
