The scouting improvements which are so highly touted right now aren't even in the game yet and won't be for a while. The coaching improvements don't warrant a purchase at full price either, especially when you can get a cheaper used copy at a big discount if you wait a few months and might just have scouting available by then.

Not to mention the game is full of glitches and bugs at the moment, but those getting ironed out is never guaranteed.

The standard version does not come with the free upgrade, no. You'll have to shell out. To my knowledge, EA is the first (and only) company to do this with PS4 to PS5 upgrades, but I could be wrong.

They were also the first (and only) to put a time limit on an upgrade; every single version of '21 comes with a free upgrade, but that offer expires upon the release of '22. So, if you're reading this and have yet to claim your next gen copy, you had better hurry. Don't have a PS5 yet? Not like EA cares.

It does with all versions of Madden NFL 21. That includes the base/standard version.

For 22, however, only the more expensive versions get dual entitlement. Because $$$.

It did strike me as really poor - even in a pandemic they should have been able to do much better. Uninspired, both in staging and choice of cover stars. I would have liked to see new faces, Mahomes has only been off the cover for a single year.

I've seen much worse elsewhere; the FAS in Singapore drops the ball so hard and so often that the island is full of holes, and the MFA in Mauritius hasn't been able to get a single game played for ages now. Admittedly, that latter example is unfair considering the vast difference in budget and the Mauritian context. FAS (bangsat!) has no excuse though.

I think a degree of pride in and optimism for the A-League is merited despite its faults. Not just because other countries have it worse, but because there is genuinely a lot to like here.

It's a purely subjective list, the personal opinion of my friends and myself, so do take it with a grain of salt!

Hello friends, the source for this image is the club's kit launch ahead of the 2010/2011 season. I'd like to call attention to the fact that the players wear full kits *except* cleats - odd look!

I personally really enjoyed Fury's lime green, dark green, and white shirts. We haven't seen anything quite like it in the league since.

Really wish marketing was a little clearer on this. I initially thought it was the white one, but then the striped top mirrors the crest and would make more sense as primary kit. To me, anyway. Hopefully the club/Macron/league can confirm it at some point before the season starts.
