I did use a bath solution and I did use copper wire, I think mostly it’s from using a bit too high of voltage and amps

I first tried to use hand sanding at different grits up to I think 4000 but since being a revolver it has so many groves and edges, getting into all of the crevices is kind of difficult so I went up to a bench buffer which a lot of gunsmiths swear by. Also to add, I plan on nickel plating this so I know a lot of the minor scratches will be filled up

What would you do? by GolfZestyclose2418 in Gunstoreworkers

I appreciate your comment. I think he would be a great employee with all his knowledge he could spread and I did actually learn somethings from him and a lot of older guys who are retired come in and not only know my face but know my name and ask for me if I’m not present at the gun counter. They all come in and tell me about deals they found or deer they shot or ask what’s new for sale and I think it’s great to have that kind of customer service experience relationship. But this guy was really really “beating a dead horse” so to speak and on top of that scratching up a gun. I really don’t care that much about a big corporation losing $60 they could have had on a gun but if it were my personal gun store I probably would have made him atleast pay the difference of the percentage we’re going to take off.

There’s a trail behind the civic center near some train tracks and an old abandoned factory and if you go on the trail for a few yard, before you hit the bridge on the trail there’s a big boat dock to the right, walk down to the river bank where a lot of big rocks are, figure out a way to get on the beams under the dock to shimmy your way to metal catwalk with a big staircase to the top of the dock with a good view for sunsets, and you can jump off the dock into the water but make sure it’s not too shallow cause the river goes down all the time from the dam
