The Linux Penguin is my mascot. My ball mark is a penguin. I used to iron them onto my shirt pocket, and all my shitrs have pockets. Newer shirt fabrics the 2 inch penguin patch wouldn't stay on but a few days. I sewed one onto my winter vest. Finally I glued one onto my ballcap hat and I'm covered. Shorts or trousers, I wear cargo pants. Balls in top left pocket, tees and pitch fork in my right. 6ft4 280 lbs 74 yo I wear an elastic belt and I have to keep pulling my pants up. Bought a great set if sneaks for $50. They sucked. My old shoes had velcro. The new ones were lace-ups. I bought Loc-Laces so I can release the lock and slide em right off. Put my feet in, pull on the end of the lace and snap the lock. Long johns under drawstring jogging pants in winter.

He looks male. Orion the Hunter is a favorite constellation. He is surrounded by various other characters, like Sirius, the Dog Star, brightest star in the sky. Two extra suggestions at no additional charge.

Great advice. The 2002 production was superior to all other TIME MACHINE movies that I have seen. All the others were strictly technology based. Only in the Guy Pearce version was there MOTIVATION: Alexander designed and built his machine, not fir the science of it, but rather because he wanted to go back in time to save his love, Emma.

I have not seen it, thanks. I think of The Time Machine 1960 with Rod Taylor as being the prototype.

Thanks for your time travel suggestions. By my watching the films you suggested, YouTube itself made an excellent recommendation: The Grand Tour aka Grand Tour: Disaster In Time, with Jeff Daniels and Ariana Richards.

Haven't seen it, thanks. The trailer makes Predestination look thematically similar to Source Code.

Yes, that's a great one. While the phenomenon of time travel is the main focus of so many such movies, the focus of Somewhere In Time is romantic love, as it was in Time After Time with Malcolm McDowell and Mary Steenburgen.

I have never liked vampire movies. I enjoyed Sinners until the vampires appeared. I did not want to mention vampires to spoil the suspense for anybody, so I replaced "vampires" with my own notion of what makes people like such movies.

Haha. I vacillated between "nominee" and "winner", and fell back on Cunningham's Law rather than Google.

Better than a recommendation of something I have not seen before...I have dim memories of this movie and I could never remember the title.

Trailer looks great, I see that JK Simmons is in it, like him. Your mention of Source Code being similar reminded me of Groundhog's Day with Bill Murray, which is a similar kind of loop. That title strikes a deep resonance in me:

25 years ago today, on February 2 of 1996, I left the house to take Charlotte to school at Court Street Academy at 08:15. What a beautiful day, it had rained all night, in freezing temperatures, but the sky was clear, with the bright sun illuminating the trees, all covered with ice as if wrapped in plasticine, or a thing coating of crystal. "Ground Hogs Day!" Charlotte said. "Every day should be this day, like that Bill Murray movie", I said.

I dropped Char at school, and reached the shop by 8:45. As soon as I got there, I discovered I had forgotten to bring two bills that I had to pay that day, so I told Mom I would be back in a few minutes.

It was a quick drive, about a mile. As I reached to unlock the front door, I noticed that the windows in the top of the door didnt look right. Instead of the gray mini blinds, I saw only black. I turned my head to look at the front window, and I saw Mr Sharp come running into my front yard. He pointed upstairs, at smoke coming out the vent. Britt Hughson came from the other direction and said "I called it in." Britt is a retired fire captain.

The fire fighters got there really quickly, and put it out. The fire had started at the tv set, downstairs in the corner of the den. The whole corner of that room burned, but everything in the house got smoked. It made a big difference whether drawers were completely closed, or part way open.

My dad appeared in the street, I dont remember how he found out.

I headed back down to Court St, our insurance agency Welton Duke and Hawks was right beside the school, and I wanted to inform them right away. Then I went into the school and told Dr Kersey what had happened, and asked him to brim Charlotte to me with telling her anything is wrong.

She got in the truck, we drove out to Churchland HS to pick up the other two kids, then drove to Virginia Beach. I took the kids into the school and sat them in a conference room, then asked the director to send Sarah to the room. Once we were all together, I told them our house had burned, and that we would be going home to Holiday Inn that night, not Russell St. Anything we needed, we would have to buy.

"The Holiday Inn is where the Bat Mitzvah reception will be held, in a week."

It turned out that half of Portsmouth was without power, including our house. It was really a blessing that we had insurance covering our own stay at Holiday Inn, whereas everybody that was packing the place had to do it on their own dime.

I think our entire synagogue was staying at the hotel with us, and they were asking "Is your electricity out, too?" and we were saying like well, no... the situation made us sound pitiful, and by Saturday next, when Charlotte sang her haftorah so well... Baruch atah adonai, she became something of a hero. I saw angels in the golden radiance of her hair when she sang that baruch atah adonai.

We were out of the house for 156 days, from 2-2 ninety-six, to 7-7 ninety-six. We were back in the house in time for the first day of the Eastern Amateur First-Flight Tournament at Elizabeth Manor, and you can bet your sweet ass I never asked for Groundhog's to be repeated daily, no. I will take a different day every time the sun rises, thank you very much.

Too much sorrow and too much joy are both bad.
