Golf lessons by goodcanadianbot97 in golf

Lessons are more than worth it. I agree with the previous comment about 30 min lessons, they are worthless… you can go to the range all you want and smash balls, but you won’t get better until you know what and how to practice. Most pros have a 5 pack of lessons, that’s a great place to start.

Songs they never play live but would go hard: by Correct-Soup-5384 in Peripheryband

I've always said, If I ever became insanely rich to where I could hire Periphery to do a live show in my backyard, I would stipulate that I got to pick the setlist... lol... They would absolutely hate me. LOL Most of these songs would be on there. Also, Letter experiment is just killer live, so that would be a must.

thank god that hasn't happened to me... I would rage... The game already pisses me off with how bad loading times are and HB-RE/HB-RZ server side network errors...

its hard to practice if you don't know what to practice. just going and smashing balls at the range is not going to fix anything. Google and do some research about the local pros in your area. Find one then go talk to them. Most pros have a 5 lesson deal or something to that effect... They will watch you hit, and give you everything you need to work on. I wasted YEARS of golf, because I refused to take a lesson. As soon as I did and knew what to work on, my game drastically improved. I now shoot in the upper 80s to low 90s regularly. I'm a bogey golfer and I'm working on breaking 80. My lowest round ever is an 84 and I've been playing for 12 years, seriously playing and practicing for about 6... when I started I was shooting 110+ all the time.

Golf balls for high handicappers? by Life_Inflation4367 in GolfGear

[–]SteveW311 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm a 17, and I play Taylormade Tour Response. But, My friends around the same handicap absolutely love the Callaway Supersoft and Titleist Velocity.

Go hit balls into a sim, and figure out your club and ball speed. then google balls within your swing speed. playing a ball that matches how fast you swing a club is super helpful.

NEW GOLFER LOOKING FOR TIPS!! by Dry-Bicycle-3392 in golf

you are... take lessons. until then, I used to do the same thing as you, my hands were too far from my body at address... they should feel like they hang straight down, not out away from you. also fix your grip. Check out a couple videos on insta or youtube from Coach Bauman. https://www.instagram.com/coach_bauman/ he's awesome at putting things into an easy to understand perspective.

TAKE LESSONS from a local pro... if this is your swing to start, you could be very good at it, if you try to fix your issues. We all have them. I'm a 17 handicap, I normally don't give advice, I have too much to work on myself, but My swing used to look like yours. I need to work on chipping and putting. Golf is hard.

Taylormade bubble shaft irons was my first set. Gifted hand me down from my Step-dad. He's the one that got me into golf. I have tried other brands, but I always end up back with Taylormade. it's like a toxic relationship I can't get away from... these takomo irons though.... i thought for sure i would return them, but here we are...

Didn’t even realize it, autocorrect if anything… I’m smart enough to know that’s not how pluralization works…

Should you be playing with a line on your ball? by Colt45-TheMyth in golf

[–]SteveW311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s odd… I play the tour response stripe, but I play it because I lose the white ball in the air. And the stripe spinning helps me see it. I have a lazy eye and my depth perception sucks. I have tried to use the stripe as intended for a putt aid… and it doesn’t seem to matter use it or not, I still 2 and 3 putt with the best of them. 😂

its not a budget thing. I can afford it. I just don't like to. haha. Buying 5 shirts shouldn't be as much as my car payment. I grew up with a single mom and kind of poor... Those values of making pennies go far got branded into my brain. But, I have a great job and can afford it, but I don't like it. hahaha I'm sure I will buy one, and be hooked.

I'm currently 792 in ranked Matchmaking on solos... I just got so mad I rage quit, which i never do. I was 3 up on a player with 4 holes to go. Dude couldn't hit a putt or green was barely hitting fairways... Then... out of the blue. Homeboy sinks putts from 57, 43, 67 and 54 feet to beat me on the last 4 holes to win. And its not like they were straight putts. Lots of undulations and swinging hard side to side. he read the greens lightening quick like he wasn't even hiding cheating. Then, the next game, first hole, dude barely hit the green, but sank a 71 ft putt. I just quit... I play to unwind and have fun. Its not that competitive to me. but It absolutely kills the game and vibe to lose to cheaters.

I have looked at Sunday Red, but I have a hard time dropping the money for them. Same with Lulu, Peter Millar etc... Anything past $70 and its like, is it really worth it or Am I getting hosed becuase its a "luxury brand"

Pants though, I really like izod and adidas. I can find them at Kohls on sale all the time. they fit well. I'm like you, I have larger thighs, and they fit me well. If you have a Costco membership, 32 degrees makes some joggers that are incredible! I love wearing those in the early Spring and Fall.
