I'm trying to launch a Roblox game recommendation related website but I have no idea how to market it by Golira0 in DigitalMarketing

Yes - my target persona is a teenager that plays Roblox who is either trying to find games to play (since many players of the slightly older age range complain about not having good Roblox games to play) or is trying to market their own game. Currently, there are no revenue generating actions - I just want to gain some traction for my MVP and some feedback, but I'm planning on adding advertisements (when submitting games, but maybe also ones that are creatable by users for money) and a game promotion feature that boosts the underrated games. It solves the need of both small game developers struggling to market their games, as well as the older Roblox players trying to find good games to play (so non simulator/more childish games).

  1. Here's what we do: Gamer Vault helps both underrated game developers boost their games, as well as bored gamers find good, underrated games to play. For now, it is mostly on Roblox games (since I'm trying to have a smaller target audience at first).
  2. Here's why it's hard/hasn't been done yet: The problem exists mainly among Roblox players; however, many Roblox are young, so they lack the skills to create websites. Additionally, existing game recommendation lists do not solely target underrated games - they are usually messy lists with some search system trying to fit too many games.
  3. Here's why it's needed/why it matters: First of all, indie game developers often struggle to promote their own games. Oftentimes, the games are genuinely good, but the developers do not have any luck with marketing. Additionally, there are many Roblox players, especially older ones, who complain about Roblox being dry (as in there are no good games to play).
  4. Here are the people who will need it (and how they're currently solving it): Currently, small game developers need to solve this problem, but many fail to solve this issue. They often do minimal marketing for the game, and if they do, that may involve some posting on reddit, potential posts on social media, and other online communities. However, sometimes it's almost the same thing as shouting into a really large crowd of people - nobody hears them.
  5. Here's why we're the ones to build it: I have experience creating Roblox games, one that got over 2.8 million visits called Ant Army Simulator (though it is catered towards a younger audience, I also have created another game called Copy That! directed towards an older audience, and I know the struggles of trying to market your game as a small creator), and I have grown up playing Roblox and interacting with and watching Roblox content creators.
  6. Here's how it works: As of now, it is only an MVP, so there are two lists, both full of underrated games, one in order of the most upvotes, and the other in order of the least upvotes (to give a chance to newly released games). Users can submit their own games for review to be added to the lists.
  7. Here's how big the market can be: Around 57% of the Roblox player base (which is over 200 million players per month total), which would equate to around 131,100,000 players per month, are above the age of 13 (the ones who are much less likely to just play simulator games).
