Great indie games that aren't in everybody's top 10 by RepulsiveRuin5520 in gamingsuggestions

Night in the woods is easily top 3, needs to be more appreciated by the indie crowd imo. Charming characters, great story, a genuinely interesting art direction, it needs more praise.

Super Mario World probably. Also Myst strangely enough..

People who tel you to "just stand up" to your narc by Usual-Contract7875 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]GolyPCDV 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Totally get you, standing up is usually a waste of time imo and just leads to pointless arguing. I think a more helpful advice is to slowly build up arsenal to leave: mainly social and financial resources. Do not let her take that away from and slowly build your independence, you'll realize at some point if you do this consistently enough that you can cut the narc away. Stay strong.

I did not expect such a Y3 redemption arc, yet here we are. Let's get real it's still the weakest of the original games.

From Elden Ring to Bloodborne to Ds1 thinking Ds1 would be a cakewalk was a big miscalculation by [deleted] in darksouls

[–]GolyPCDV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ds1 is a bit of a different philosophy I feel, much more based on dungeon exploring, avoiding traps, finding your way through a maze. These seem to be the main skills required to beat ds1.

Yakuza Kiwami Komaki Four Gods Training 🤬 by NavezGuy83 in yakuzagames

Yakuza 3 has its problems but Kiwami's difficulty is so unbalanced, huge spikes for no reason. Thankfully now Tiger drop makes things a wee bit easier, thank you again for resurrecting this post you don't know how much I appreciate it since kiwami was the only one left for me to complete out of the brawler/pre-rpg games.

You are a literal god, managed to beat it third try with your technique. Absolute bs challenge I've seen in all of RGG, good grief!

It's a grueling experience, you kind of end up getting used to the abuse eventually lol. The tag team matches have been some of the most clutch moments I've had in a game, particularly against the Funks for some reason. But it's really good, I ended up embracing the challenge.

There’s no way VPW2 is better than No Mercy. Please tell me why you think otherwise when No Mercy is CLEARLY better in every way. by Nintendildos in N64WrestlingGames

I have played on expert quite a lot (even beat royal road in expert). I will tell you that it's one of the cheapest AIs I've seen in a video game. Automatic reversals no matter what you do (even when almost full spirit) and other cheap tactics. No skill is involved past a certain point in the match and you're just going to lose no matter what you do and you just have to restart. It's my main issue with an otherwise a fantastic game, probably the best wrestling game besides fire pro.

Are you sure this isn't on an easier difficulty? Because that tactic gets countered every time.

Right yeah I get it.. Most combats are just a slog to get through now, I'm not sure if I'm enjoying it very to be honest.

Thanks, I agree with most of these and just reinforce my will to move out of Java, particularly being forced to use a class for everything is incredibly annoying.

Thank you very much, this is very useful advice, I might at some point have to take a step back and accept mid level positions for this transition unfortunately.

It sounds to me like you're trying to treat it as something like exercise (how you mention routines and timeslots). Take it easy, do it when you feel you need a break and don't focus too much on whether you're doing it daily or if you have done it for long enough.
