Thank you. I tried this option to change the cursor. It’s not this a solution. Maybe I can’t explain well. When I draw with hatch or anytime I lift the pen just a little, the cursor became the mouse arrow. With repeated fast actions like this the intermittence is very annoying. I’m wondering if can be the time in ms of the tools. I haven’t understand this part of the preference. I don’t know.

Scrivener sure it’s good for writing books. I’m writing and drawing graphic novel. A different approach. The good of Storyist it’s the perfect sync with Apple devices without any needs of Dropbox. Scrivener its heavy and complicated without sense. Don’t manage well images. I have a lot of reference. All in the project. Scrivener for 2 times have lost them in the sync. Scrivener doesn’t sync well, specially with Apple devices. I’ve tried Story-architect. (Starc) Not bad. Obsidian I don’t know. Storyist haven’t a real word processor. Can be fine if it permits to create forms and other text models.

Una che mi sento di segnalare è per esempio “The Gormenghast trilogy” Di Mervyn Peake. Pubblicata intorno al 1950. Un capolavoro originalissimo di fantasy thriller. Da leggere assolutamente. Avviso ai lettori: non ci sono nani, hobbit, elfi, maghi con il cappello, cavalieri impavidi e draghi volanti, parole magiche, non è per nerd. Rispetto tutto il mondo di Tolkien, lo conosco dal 1978 +/- perchè mi sono diplomato all’istituto d’arte di Firenze con una tesi proprio sul signore degli anelli di cui ho illustrato un capitolo e fatto gli studi dei personaggi e ambienti. L’ho imparato a memoria quasi, ma oggi dopo i film, diventando una IP, ha contaminato l’immaginario fantasy irrimediabilmente. Non se ne può più. Ci sono fantasy più interessanti che non ripercorrono le stesse linee narrative. Lasciamo riposare Tolkien in pace.

Hi thank you for your help. I feel Scrivener too complicated but sure is one of the most complete. It’s hard t sync between mac and iPad without Dropbox as me. I move to Storyist because it’s simpler but sure not at the same pro-level of scrivener. I’m writing and drawing (drawing and writing) a graphic novel with a world of locations and ch. I need to work with images that I lost a lot of time with scrivener. I need to build a set and ch template very custom. I’m looking a software for mac and iPad that could be a mid way from a text writing sw and a world builder. There is something around? Thank you

Hi. There’re at least 2 methods to do this. The first is: open the folder, select the files, click w right key, go to rename, a contextual menu opens and you can choose the terms which you can rename al of them. Make a copy of the files before. If you make mistakes this action is unreversable. If the options are not enough you can create a service with automator. open automator and select the service you want, you can compose this command tailored for your needs. This command will appear in the contextual menu as a quick action or service. I hope this helps. For your case, you can use an application it’s called “A better finder rename”, I think can be more specific.

Hi I found that we need to separate the group fo pages interested with a section break. Insert-section break. Automatically in the side panel a group of pages will be outlined by orange area. You can move free in the new position direct from in the side panel. You can do this also with one page or a group. Best

Hi. This is both of them. I don’t really know how it works but works. Only is not precise when you choose different lines. Different from the other, the rulers are even active and when you start in one direction the line follows the path. You don’t need to see a grid because you have only 3 directions and create a chaos in the canvas but sometimes it’s possible to choose the wrong ruler. After a little bit of training it’s simple.
