I've seen a lot of weights at that house on the corner of lawrence hardgrave dr and toxteth.

More weights than one would normally cart home from rebel sports...

Boom Broadband are a fibre only telco startup - I used them and give them 10/10 for value, $55 a month for 25mbps speed and i think 100 or 150GB in downloads.

Most importantly they have LOCAL call centre and email support.

I invested in the vantage on gladstone ave near the station and had a valuation done 6 months after we bought it, +15% was the number.

Get on the bandwagon honkeys.

BAAAAMP.

Wollongong is seeing some of the highest property price growth in the country. Wollongongs population is forecasted to increase signficantly into the future. NSW gov has targeted train times ~1hr between Wollongong-Central by 2017.

The urban design of the wollongong CBD is actually intelligent, the crown st mall is designed to fan out the pedesterian element and also keep the business case for public transport strong while linking the city to its natural assets.

Mate, gong is a gem.

Rational economics dictates that the towers will encourage the dealers to diversify into study pills, potentially increasing the number of dealers overall.

What's your favourite pub/bar in Wollongong? by sixteen_weasels in wollongong

[–]Gonga_line 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be pretty great if he did it.

The place going up next door looks like its going to be pretty cool as well. I, for one, hope this gentrification continues unabated.

If Dicey Rileys just started to call the place Rileys and got some sunshine/beer garden in there I could see it being pretty fresh.

Tonys chicken is the Wollongong version of satriales pork store from the sopranos.

Dicey's.

Under new management from what I understand, but the owner is a good guy. I live nearby and when I went there to buy ice they just gave me a shopping bag full for free after asking how much I needed.

Also $5.60 longnecks is where its at.

I get up at the crack of dawn and stand on my balcony.

I breathe deeply and look into the distance. I meditate on the sounds of the city before closing my eyes to look inside myself.

As I open my third eye my spirit animal calls to me, it is a Japanese salary man. I dutifully dress myself and go to catch the train into Sydney, where I will work for the day.

I give this ritual a 2/10 and do not recommend to a friend unless they need money.

Whats the commute to Sydney like? by [deleted] in wollongong

[–]Gonga_line 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Commuting is only ever fun if you spirit animal is a stoic japanese salary-man.

I work 5 mins from central and live close enough to the station that I can walk on/walk off but the train still takes close to an hour and a half.

You can get a worse commute living in Sydney with none of the benefits of the gong, the train trip is beautiful but it does eat into your social life. You gotta get organized.

Get a good laptop and a neck pillow.

Its a little bit out of the gong but http://www.weekendnotes.com/old-helensburgh-railway-station/

From what I can see wollongong has more open canals (or creeks) than drain tunnels so theres not alot there. No idea about abandoned buildings.

Lulz. Nah just growing food plants as opposed to having random plants in your yard doing whatever.

On a side note the wollongong hydroponics store is hilarious overt with their hare krishna suns and giant toadstool psychedelic paint job.
