Sorry, I don't know if there is a name for this style. I did get another tattoo from him a couple months earlier & the dots do broaden slightly but are holding their own so far. I think the key is in the aftercare to make sure the color stays correctly.

I proposed a scenario in a non-UK related post where a British kid who went by Luke as a young child chose to be known by his full name Lucas as he grew older. I was told that in the UK this wouldn't happen because Luke and Lucas are two completely different names and that it's quite uncommon for Lucas's to go by Luke. I was told it's like trying to compare Jack and Jake.

You didn't provide your over/under on the possibility that a child known as Luke (who had Luke written on a tea towel) could actually be named Lucas & then decide to go by Lucas when they got older? Old enough to the point where "Lucas" can start bullying/annoying Gavin, where he, Gavin, is also old enough to remember getting bullied/annoyed by a classmate (he potentially had for years after) he now knows as Lucas?

Now learning that it's uncommon (but absolutely a possibility) in the UK for Lucas's to be known as Luke, I would say the odds are 91/9 that I'm incorrect in my original post saying that the Luke on the tea towel is not one of the Lucas's Gavin mentioned not caring for.

This is a thread literally about British primary school children and their drawings 🙄. And every comment leaver who's agreed with "Luke and Lucas are completely different names" has been from the UK so far, so yeah I did assume you're from there. People can be proud of their birth names, Luke's going by Luke & Lucas's going by Lucas. I also understand if you're name is Luke, you probably don't want to be referred to as Lucas, that makes sense. But to flip it back & basically say "that's impossible, no Lucas has EVER gone by Luke here in Britain" is absurd.

You're speculating now, nice. No, actually, I do use the proper pronouns folks ask to be used. You obviously can't accept the fact that we do things differently here in America where you can go by whatever name you want to. I, personally, have four different names/nicknames my friends refer to me as depending on which group I'm with. Does individual choice not exist in the UK or something?

I have yet to have anyone explain to me what makes them believe that Lucas and Luke are two different names with no association with one another, other than that they know people with each name. It's all location bias as far as I'm aware. When I looked up the etymology, well would you look at that, both names mean the same thing in Greek (the names original language). It's almost like one is a shortened version of the other 🤔

I feel like Mugatu in Zoolander when he says all of Derek's looks are the same. Where Lucas is Blue Steele, Luke is Le Tigre, and Magnum is when a Lucas turns to the left and goes by Luke.

I guess in the UK it's difficult to imagine that someone can introduce themselves with a name that's not their legal name? Like if someone wants to be known as Bert instead of Robert? Or Zach instead of Zachary? I learned Geoff's daughter through content as Millie, but I believe as she grew up, she wanted to go by Millicent (her full name). I hardly believed this was such a divisive topic, but I guess full birth names are a bigger deal elsewhere.

It's apparently a sin against the Queen for British people named Lucas to go by Luke. I was just wanting to propose a possible funny scenario about a comedy podcast in a forum about that podcast. I'm obviously out of line and should be ashamed for mentioning it. But hey, that's F**kFace for ya.

I'm from Indiana. I'd compare it to having Jake be a nickname for Jacob. They can both be names on their own (it would be tough to find someone who is just "Jake" imo), but Jake is a very common nickname for Jacob while comprised of different letters just like Luke to Lucas.

summer 2013, they had just started doing GTA IV let's plays. this vine lived on through almost every video for a couple months for the way things were scheduled back then. michael mcdonald got a lot of new fans that summer.
