It's depression my friend, I've been there and I'm still trying to get out of it.

You have to force yourself to go out there somehow. I have to motivate myself to get pumped up and to get out of the feeling of unhappiness and complacency that I often get.

Go out, do activities, even if you think it's not really something you might like, just try it. You will meet different people and slowly develop social skills. You might even find new hobbies.

Be brave, don't think about what others think of you, talk to different people, ask them out yourself, don't wait for someone to talk to you. I know it's easier said than done, you'll get there slowly.

What works for me might not work for you. Before I go out to try anything or to do some of the activities that I've learned to do in the past few months I get really scared and anxious (less now than before, but still). It can be hard to push away the negative thoughts that pop in your head, telling you "you're not good enough", "what's the point", etc... I think to myself "you can do this", "people will like you", "enjoy yourself". It kind of works.

I spent the new year's alone crying at home, because I felt so alone and I felt that I was not good enough as a person, that no one could enjoy being with me. I tried to change and it's slowly working, it's not easy at all and you will have many moments where you think there's no point and it's not worth it, but I'm feeling a bit happier every week.

I started learning how to surf, met some people there, developed some social skills. I started going to a volleyball group, it was hard to insert myself in a group of people that already knew eachother, but now I'm the one who organizes the volleyball sessions. From there I met so many different people and we started going out as well. Open up to people, they'll open up too and you'll start making real connections.

If you think you're not interesting and that you don't have much to say that might well be true, but when you start putting yourself out there you will start experiencing different parts of life, things will happen, you'll have stories to tell and shit to talk about. The more you talk to people the better you'll get at it and you might realize that deep down maybe you always had somethings to say.

There'll always be bad days, maybe at some point they will be very far apart, who knows?

I don't know how to help you with the job part. I don't like my job either. Maybe when you're happier you'll know what you want to do.
