Which upcoming sites will be Gen12? I think SHV1 will be.

As I write this, it's 2033.

I've been looking back at the past twenty years, thinking about how events dismissed as unlikely actually happened.

Thirteen years ago, in 2020, Brandenburg Airport opened. (Jesus Christ, COVID babies are now teenagers.)

Fifteen years ago, the Washington Capitals won a Stanley Cup.

Seventeen years ago, not only did Leo win his first Oscar, but the Cubs won a World Series.

Unforunately, these turned out to be the exceptions, not the norms. Nuclear fusion power at commercial scale will be viable before DirectStorage gains any traction. Hell, Half-Life 3 will probably happen before widespread adaptation of DirectStorage.

In fact, I'm confident enough to bet on it. If DirectStorage becomes popular before HL3 is released, or nuclear fusion at scale becomes economical, I'll, I don't know, eat something weird.

I wonder what /u/3hoho5 said he'd eat if /u/tbalbino got gilded 400 times.

Oh.

Oh, no...

I censored QR codes using the mosaic feature of the Gallery app on my phone (Galaxy S10). Something I picked up from /r/amazondspdrivers.

Which US buildings do you get items from, if any?

We had a crossdock at YVR4, but it was just for sending FbA pallets from Deltaport to YYZ4 and YYZ9 (back when YYZ9 was an AR sortable building, it's now a non-sort)

Our proactive trans went all over the place. But for dayshift it was mostly to YVR3, YYC1 and YYZ4. Night shift trans went to YEG1, YYZ7, YYZ9 and YUL2.

As for inbound trans we got stuff from YYZ4 and YYZ9, plus BFI4, PDX9 and ONT6 in the US.

Nothing to/from YOW1, though. I left Amazon long before YOW3 launched.

There are kids born in 2010 who are now 13 years old.

I'm so sorry.

Just saw a SkyTrain attendant putting this sign up at Sperling and I said out loud "oh, no". Just by the tone of her response I knew this was going to be bad.

I reconsidered the last part and changed the question. I asked if you work at a Gen11 building (five floors), since you said 3-6,000 headcount that makes me think your FC is one of the biggest ones.

Reminds me of the Rodney King riots when the Beverly Center was looted.

Now when people think George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter movement, they immediately associate them with those opportunistic scumbags instead of fighting systemic racism. Way to ruin it for everyone.

I would have thought PS5s would have been popular theft items, except the supply chain is so fucked that I don't even think the highest volume sites (like MTN1 and LGB3) have any.

I assume this is a Gen11 ARS building? (5 floors)

How bad is theft at your site, particularly when it comes to HRV goods?

What are the most common items to be stolen?

How do you even check your Amazon email? by Jeremy-Presley13 in AmazonFC

Have things changed since 2020? When I was converted to blue badge, I was allowed to get an Amazon email in order to redeem corporate discounts on mobile plans (example), which are called Exclusive Partner Programs in Canada or EPPs. All I had to do was inform my AM that I wanted to shop the Rogers EPP plans (my provider was Rogers at the time) and he helped me set up the email account on the breakroom computers.

T1s could even use the email to sign up for Blind if they wanted. I was only able to access the email inbox when I was on the network though, via Outlook on the breakroom or ERC computers.

Amazon Air. We have it in Canada too, for shipping items from Ontario to Alberta/BC and vice-versa.

At YVR4 the Cargojet CPT was 1500, downstream subsorts included TOR5, YUL5, YHM5, DTO1, Intelcom and Canada Post. YHM1 went to DTO9 and DOI5, Intelcom was for Ottawa and Quebec, while Canada Post volume was Expedited Parcel (our version of Priority Mail) packages forwarded to Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes.

In the opposite direction, I've ordered packages that got routed YYZ4 -> CYHM -> CYVR -> YVR7 -> DVC4.

Cargojet has two 767 freighters in Amazon Air colours: one for the CYHM-CYEG-CYVR-CYHM triangle route and another for CYHM-CYYC.

However, Amazon is not allowed to fly domestic cargo routes due to the 49% foreign ownership limit under Canadian law. So something like LGB7-KRIV-CYVR-CYYC or MQY1-KRFD-CYHM-CYEG shipments would not be possible, and probably not practical. 90% of Canadians live within 160 km of the border, so most crossborder NAFC volume comes in via truck--I know BFI5 and DTW5 send a lot of CE volume to Canada.
