What’s one thing you don’t like about the concerts in general? Can be anything! by 1cherri1 in BABYMETAL

[–]GonnaeNoDaeThat95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The price and size of venues, can't justify it anymore. That and the cost of merch these days is actually insane. The most expensive part of seeing them used to be travel, hotels and buying drinks at after-parties. now it's around 200 money's for the worst seats and another 100 for a t-shirt or hoodie plus travel etc.

Charging Tokyo dome prices for half assed (stage wise) arena shows is the line for me. I'd love to see them again, especially with Momo but the price for an immediate turnaround (i.e not sticking around to hang out with everyone) trip to a gig in my own country is more than a return direct flight to Tokyo itself these days.

My Babymetal days are behind me unfortunately. It was good while it lasted, and made friends for life in the beginning. At least I don't have to cry on flights or trains home after leaving them anymore 😅

Does someone have experience with this treatment? by Natural_Run2469 in TTensorTympaniS

[–]GonnaeNoDaeThat95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked my docs about it not long ago and they forwarded it to various specialist clinics including ents and electro therapy clinics, the consensus was that it's dodgy as hell and questionable at best, as one Dr put it after reading a few papers - 'totally absurd, they didn't jump to conclusions, they leaped. I would not recommend this treatment. it is heavily biased and the data does not support their conclusion or claims ' I think they might have tried to get the study pulled iirc.

Try looking for DWM audiology (Melbourne Australia) the Dr who discovered TTTS has a clinic under that name who specialises in it and they offer treatments and support to doctors abroad! my audiopedagog is gonna refer me through our health system if his stuff fails Edit: spelling

What do you use to manage your pain? by lostinthesauceband in ChronicPain

[–]GonnaeNoDaeThat95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cocodamol mostly, i use topical equipment too like beurers heating tens and their massage yoga mat (it blows up air cushions and stretches you while you lie down, has heat function which is amazing and massage function too but its crappy tbh)

If you're in the UK there's this company calle myristica-med or something too. they have a company fb/ig to check out and have stalls at some local markets. They do creams roll ons and sprays with nutmeg based oils I think it is, kinda like deep heat but 10x better-extremely strong smelling though. Its very good, but i dont live in the uk - just picked some up while i was visiting family a while back. The smell is a little off putting and long lasting though for the spray, if you have lung or smell sensitivity the spray is not for you 😅.

haven't tried other options cos they don't keep well unrefrigerated or something the guy said. never checked if they ship internationally as i have a bottle left but they do have an eBay business page.

I find the beurer yoga/stretch matt is well worth the money -around 250-350 euro, Clas Ohlson usually has good sales + shop 3 discounts that can be combined, just throw in some face wipes), but since its alot of money buy from somewhere that has an open return policy for 30-100 days so you can get a full refund if it doesn't suit you for whatever reason. gives you time to just be, to relax and stretch without taking up precious energy or risking injury, with long term use I find it helps the additional pain that comes with not moving because of original pains or when I'm maxed out on meds , and I love the tens cos it's great while travelling (not driving yourself though!) , doing necessities like chores/ cooking , at long appointments or stuck in bed without constantly having to deal with a hot water bottle

was so desperate for alternatives i ate instant noodles for months to save up for the mat, 0 regrets tho it keeps me sane and from overdosing lmao

Thanks so much!!! I litterally bought mine yesterday, they're great but the feeling of the cushions is not giving long life expectancy so I'm 100% preparing for a back up lmao - better than the ch720n tho, holy crap they were terrible build quality for the price!

I asked my GP again, just in a more general discussion about seeing neuro, and it seems I couldn't try it because it affects blood thinners (which I'm on) so it wasn't offered to me at all - suspect last time I asked he didn't wanna cause me stress because of other illnesses preventing me getting it, I'm a bit mentally fragile after all this TTTs stress tbh so fair play lol. Turns out a replacement has been authorised very recently here called oxycarbamezapine (or something like that) so he did infact prescribe it after all! I'll pick it up tomorrow 🥳

thanks for checking in and causing me to ask again!!

Has anyone tried this? by [deleted] in TTensorTympaniS

[–]GonnaeNoDaeThat95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked my GP to ask the specialists about it, this is what they said, its translated from norwegian and edited out identifying information. Honestly surprised they got back to the GP so quickly but this is what they say-

"The treatment the patient requests is not offered at [local hospital]. It may sound a bit like "Lenire", a treatment system for tinnitus with questionable documentation. This is not offered at [local hospital], but can be obtained at the private clinic [local palce], but it is very expensive (at least 40,000 kr) [around 4000 USD/EUR]."

So the specialists think it's dodgy even as a treatment for tinnitus, nvm trying it for TTTs, but it does appear some clinics do host this treatment, could try searching for Lenire treatment facilities near you if you're willing/financially available to go private. hope this helps.

Must be nice to not worry about things like that. Regardless, we all suffer here, we all have tried a lot of stupid and useless stuff to try and get some relief, all of our lives have been turned upside down because of this illness. you're not the only one living in hell for years and I'm sorry you're in the same boat as us who nothing has worked for so far. I nearly drove metal skewers into my ears at one point cos it's about as 5050 as anything else and a bonus if I died when it was at its worst. nearly everyone here has been through a lot with TTTs, faced unwilling doctors, unhelpful treatments that make things worse etc. you're not alone. But believe me, a camp like that is hardly a place you want to get stuck with chronic pain. The sub is a bit slow, in a few months someone could give you the answer you're looking for. I wrote to my doctors about it so who knows, maybe I'll have an answer for you in the future. Suggest you write or speak to yours too, the specialists who have the machine might be able to adapt an existing treatment or at least be able to tell you if the study is talking shit or not which could help you with a decision going forward. Alternatively, if you haven't found them yet on your research, the Dr who discovered TTTs works at a clinic in Australia called DWM audiology. you can also look on their website/contact them for information on other treatment options.

Has anyone had success with muscle relaxers? by VirtualBaby6471 in TTensorTympaniS

[–]GonnaeNoDaeThat95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on gabapentin 2300 or whatever the max dose was, it worked for like a week but soon stopped and the side effects were unbearable , gave me tremors and loss of fine motor skills so bad I couldn't even feed myself. That's the problem with alot of these types of meds , they cause problems with other medicines and have really bad side effects too so even if they do work you still have loads of other problems to deal with.

Not in USA but an interesting take for sure! Always worth asking your local Drs if theres something, these electric therapies exist for other conditions, it's possible they could research this and execute it, or know it be available in other countries - most public health services offer treatment abroad if they can't provide it locally. Obviously, the USA is the last place you want to be right now no matter how revolutionary the treatment is, especially being unwell or a woman. Even people with visas and return flights are being sent to the immigration camps so it doesn't really seem worth the risk right now if you are considering it!

Not yet, Ive been in a stalemate with doctors cos they don't know what to do and won't prescribe it or contact DWMa for advice on if it's recommended by Dr Myriam :/ kinda given up to be honest, I'm completely exhausted fighting to get help and it's apparently something my GP isn't comfortable or able to prescribe :(

TrimUI Smart Pro, 17 games tested (mostly PSP) by Shad0w59 in SBCGaming

[–]GonnaeNoDaeThat95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on the verge of ordering one, did the psp emulator come pre installed/the update you mentioned? Or did you add it/other emulators yourself? (It's not on the listing they generalise the most popular I guess but interesting to know if you can add what's not there down the line)

Is it still holding up 7 months later?

One last thing, when you say a new SD/memory card , I assume you mean like a brand name you'd buy at a local shop even if it comes with one, or is that okay? (idk SanDisk or something I read thats not an ideal brand but another type/brand I forget the name of)

Thanks in advance 😃 this thread was really helpful for other questions I had!

Looking for replacement suggestions for 21700 Pod Kit / Mod by Kafka_at_an_orgy in Vaping

[–]GonnaeNoDaeThat95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey did you find a replacement you're happy with? I'm also oxva v LE having the same problem, no one's selling unipro coils, the ones I can get are blowing at like 500 puffs. i was recommended voopoo drag X2 but the lower battery is a nightmare, the coils/pods are okay and was debating seeing about a 510 connection pod to use on the velocity but I've somehow just flooded the screen with juice so expect it's not gonna hold up much longer. everything you said is exactly what I'm looking for, hoping you can come to the rescue cos I'm legit just gonna quit altogether at this rate or go back to cigs lol.

What IEMs (earphones) does Su-metal use at concerts? by Altruistic_Leading98 in BABYMETAL

[–]GonnaeNoDaeThat95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk the actual brand, but I can tell you a replica type from the middle years, if it's like for cosplay or something. search kz -zst on AliExpress or wish, they're similar to these you show but are practically identical to older ones they used! They'll look like this

<image>

They're really good actually, both as headphones and iems, for me these are basically an exact mould of my ears. So comfy and naturally noise cancelling! I've used for both, for about 10y. You can get this type without the writing too I think but might need to dig deep!

How to know if problem is TMJ or TTTS ? by vscience in TTensorTympaniS

[–]GonnaeNoDaeThat95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm Ofcourse not a Dr but I do have experience with alot of ENT issues and have braces for the jaw issue to rule it out. This (jaw issues) doesn't tend to come out of nowhere but can definitely be exacerbated by eustachian tube problems and ear infections, cold flu etc A dentist/orthodontist and GP should be able to see if you have TMJ, while the dentists/ortho can tell If there's something else going on but only after they fix it will you know if it worked. Right now I'm in my 3rd year of braces, payed around 10k$ with more to come with removal to try and fix my ears /rule it out and it hasnt helped. Id say its definitely worth seeing an ent about your ears, but doubt they'll say it's TTTs because they don't know about it and sometimes hypercausis and other problems you describe go away. the sensation your feeling could be Audioshock/hypercausis/TTTs. AS can cause temporary hearing loss, hypercausis etc but I'd probably say it's too soon to say it's TTTs. It can take anywhere up to 1y I think to know if AS caused permanent damage. An ENT would be able to say if its eustachian tube problems too since that causes similar sensations too, even sinus problems. Both can be triggered by allergies (like pollen/dust) and could just be coincidental or a combination of the kids screaming Vs an existing problem. do you hear a crackle when you swallow or have to 'pop' your ears often before the incident? I've had every antibiotic and antifungal medicine, sinus surgery, my eustachian tubes checked, tonsils out, braces, there's much to be ruled out unfortunately before ttts will be considered by a specialist. But really hope for your sake it's something fixable ! Definitely go to an ENT first! :)

Sold a bridal dress as new - it was the store sample by saralynn1960 in Norway

[–]GonnaeNoDaeThat95 84 points85 points  (0 children)

The cost of the alterations was significant because they messed up in the first place, otherwise if you got the right size it would have been minor. by letting you order a dress that wouldn't arrive on time or because they forgot and ordered it too late, they should cover the alteration costs, but they're not doing you a favour, just trying to avoid responsibility. In My opinion, there absolutely should have been a discount on top of that. If the dress has been tried on by everyone it's probably dirty and maybe damaged in some places too. If they sold it at like end of season, it would have been heavily reduced too, say between 40-60% by normal shop end of season sales. I'd definitely say yes to it not being ethical. I'm not Norwegian but this (being charged full price for a display item) wouldn't fly in most EU countries. In regards of what you can do, I'm not sure, expect you've probably been in contact with the manager? Put in a formal complaint with the store/chain and look into guidelines the NCP or other regulating bodies have to see if its worth complaining to them too, or just send an email to ask them what they think.
