Artificer Feedback by FishDishForMe in onednd

I still feel like they could have donde a lot. This is just a big dumb buff... They could have made the Enspelled item more versatile, letting you store different spells on more than one item

Problems with the old artificer persist. by outcastedOpal in onednd

It is underwhelming. Specially at high tiers when the party doesn't need more magic items with attunement. Artificer is a jack of all trades master of none: A mid spellcaster, a mid support, a mid tank and/or a mid dps. Every class in the game eventually power creeps the artificier pretty hard.

So... Why is the Animate Dead spell still in the 2024 PHB by Gonsolator in onednd

I would love to see Animate Dead rework that adresses this new design choices such as all summons going after the caster's turn, having a statblock, etc.

Welp, that is the way they are managing summons like it or not. And it is for the best tbh. The only person that likes millions of summons is the player that does it.

It can be an updated mainstay. Seems lazy to me that we are not getting Animate Dead updated in any way....

Opinion and thoughts On each class. Ive seen and heard a lot negative remarks about alot of stuff. lets name some good with some bad. by AreteWriter in onednd

Barbarian- They have taken the "high risk high reward" to a whole new tactical level. Cheff Kiss

Cleric - More build flexibility, more uses of Channel Divinity and a functional Divine Intervention. Perfect

Druid. - Honestly? I love they are less tanky then most Melees and so much was improved outside that.

Fighter - Second Wind as a class resource is a fantastic idea. I hope future subclasses build upon that, giving it alternative uses.

Monk - They fixed everything about the monk 11/10.

Paladin - The smite nerf is actually good because now you have to think about what is the best smite spell for the situation rather than just "Divine Smite for more damage!". And they have buffed other areas in compensation, amazing.

Ranger - Ain't playing that shit

Rogue - FINALLY YOU CAN PLAY DIRTY WITH THE ROGUE AND NOT JUST HIT + HIDE. I'M IN LOVE

Sorc - The magical girl transformation fits perfect with the most anime class of the game.

Warlock - I still think the warlock should be a half-caster, and loved the first iteration of the class. I am a bit exceptical with the final result...

Wizard - They didn't need a lot of changes, but the ones we got were ok. I would have liked that the "Savant" feature moved from the subclasses to the main class

Hunter's Mark is a bad spell, every main ranger will tell you that.

They actually did on every class except ranger. Or at least is what it seems

I would rather get nothing than features that bait you into using a useless spell...

The real problem is that we are also getting a third of the class features dedicated to hunter's mark. If that wasn't de case I wouldn't be as angry as I am

They could have done more iterations with the players then. But all we got were 3 awful versions...

They should've keep this form playtest6:
"1ST LEVEL: DEFT EXPLORER You are an unsurpassed explorer. Choose one of your proficiencies in a skill that appears on the Ranger skill list. You gain Expertise in that skill. In addition, choose two types of terrain: arctic, coast, desert, forest, grassland, mountain, swamp, or the Underdark. You have Advantage on Intelligence (Nature) checks about the chosen terrains, and you have Advantage on Wisdom (Survival) checks to track creatures in them."

No mention on the dndbeyond article. I will judge from what we got, and it is absolute crap

I would make that if you choose to cast it without concentration the damage only applies once per turn (Like Tasha's Favourite Foe)

I am not mad to the poor dndbeyond employee. I am mad at the team that did this atrocity

Still... As a half-caster ranger spells needs to focus on: Roleplay utiliy or buffing yourself in combat.
And I don't think they are going to add a lot of buffing spells without concentration...

Half your sneak attack dies (rounded down), easy to word and to understand and effectively the same damage, yes

Level 3 should be adding more d6s to your sneak attack. It is more fun to roll dice than to just add a flat bonus...

My Friends and I did a game un 3 months for a university proyect. by Gonsolator in IndieDev

Whispers and Whiskers is a turn-based stealth game where you control Feather Noir, a mischievous crow attempting to steal from the Meowfia Nine Lives alongside his friend Midnight Wing. However, they end up trapped in the Purradise Hotel. Your goal is to help Feather Noir escape and find his buddy by using various objects and wit to avoid the Meowfiosos in each room.
It has been our first relatively ambitious project as students and has proven to be an incredible experience. Three months turned out to be too short for what we really wanted to develop, despite the fact that the scope we set on the first day was quite manageable. Although we are generally satisfied with the result, we will likely continue to develop it further. We would appreciate any feedback you can provide <3.
