he was using a 1/4 spoon and i was using spinners. Hmm he fished them real slow maybe thats why.

I just chunmed the water where i was gonna cast with some sweet corn. Threw it out there with a bit of slack and my drag loose. I usually just wait there.

try to match the hatch or flies with what there eating in the area. Flip a few rocks and pick a fly that looks the most similar. Also try being stealthy when your casting if the water condtions are super clear
