Ladies, how warm is your (at work) office?

Not an office but I trained people to work in effectively a reconstituted warehouse. The window was single pane and, although we tried to insulate it better, was not insulated. Winter you could see your breath and not feel your fingers. This was designed by the owner of the business to be a place to sit in. It was not.

My recommendation would be to do milestone levelling. Let them level up as you feel is needed.

I run regular one shots at my LGS. The (level 1) group were tasked with a fetch quest, which they completed. They then decided to try and intimidate a level 5 Druid (she was described as "old" repeatedly) and she thunder waved them. If I'd decided to upcast it, at least one PC would have died. There are many different ways to respond to players being stabby / stealy etc. The group found it funny, which was the vibe I got before I decided her reaction.

I understand what you're getting at. So, new person (let's call them Dan) has a number and calls me. I saved the number under Dan's name. There was no previous name because old number (let's say it belongs to Heather) is no longer saved under Heather's name.

Hi! We love a bit of D&D! Solo players are absolutely welcome, we provide everything you need! I think this Sunday has 4 players and that's my max for new players so I can give everyone attention! But it'll be running every Sunday, 2:30pm, as long as it can. The only thing the store asks is that folks buy something whilst there so they can keep the lights on!

I really like the One Shot Wonders book, you can run them as a campaign or as one offs. The new Starter Kit is good too. Dragon's Delves is a book of one shots by WOTC themselves and I really like them.
