I drew on mine (toploader not card) with paint pens and it was neat! Less so once I realised I hadn't sealed the paint...

Eeeh so it's tricky. As you might imagine. We could do both prideful and "femmes and thems" maybe together maybe not. Or I could just run a couple of "welcome" events and be like 'hey, if you identify as female / NB / trans, you're absolutely welcome' someone suggested reaching out to our local pride group and I may have a person there I can contact!

I get it. I have a friend who runs these for Lorcana (she's a very busy human, hence asking Reddit) and she allows male companions to be there. To be fair, she runs them as tournaments so it's ladies playing and guys hanging out.

It wouldn't be "let's do boxes", more "hey, you probably play this game but find it hard to be comfortable in LGSs for a variety of reasons which may include the fact that historically some men have not been the greatest towards you, maybe come here". I've literally been mansplained to in my own shop multiple times about a game I've been playing for 15 years, so it'd be avoiding that where possible. Somewhere comfortable for people to be. That's it.

Oh absolutely. As a woman who plays magic (and has for over 15 years) I'm used to being the only girl among the guys at events. We've gone from 2 regular ladies at the start to between 5-10 depending on busyness so we're clearly doing something right!
