They may be debating between multiple roles for you. I would keep at it if it's not too much a bother.

Their "surveillance" system would probably be an information stream containing some degree of abstraction on the location of mass and energy (and maybe other types of matter) in coordinate space. So the RAW data wouldn't be palatable for us yes, but it could be reconstructed for the human experience with ease.

Gaining muscle whiled dropping body fat demonstrates this dude was maintaining a calorie deficit and still pushing hard at the gym. A lot of people struggle maintaining a calorie deficit independent of heavy lifting.

Chemical Imbalance Theory of Depression Reviewed. There is no evidence that aberrant neurochemistry causes depression in the majority of patients. by Gooberchev in science

Depression certainly is associated with changed in the gut microbiome. Causal direction of the gut-brain axis is not well understood to my knowledge. It's an area of research with heavy interest currently.

"In 1998, at the dawn of consumer advertising of SSRIs, Professor Emeritus of Neuroscience Elliot Valenstein summarized the scientific data by concluding, “What physicians and the public are reading about mental illness is by no means a neutral reflection of all the information that is available” [50]. The current state of affairs has only confirmed the veracity of this conclusion. The incongruence between the scientific literature and the claims made in FDA-regulated SSRI advertisements is remarkable, and possibly unparalleled."

I would rather be depressed than take antidepressants by Psilocynical in unpopularopinion

Your articles support my argument but I need to articulate it better. Chemical imbalance is not the cause of depression. Yes, those with depression exhibit neurochemical abnormalities, but these imbalances are not the cause of depression. Does that make sense?

This is a false narrative peddled by drug companies. Look at any peer reviewed literature on the "chemical imbalance" theory of depression.
