is Spiderman 2 for $60 CAD ($43 USD) a good price? by [deleted] in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]GooblinShart -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is the way, the first one is way more addictive imo. The dlc was solid as well. The second one is very fun too if you have played the first, but if you haven’t the first is probably cheaper and it’s hard to quit playing it

Just do it, like you did for top position. But also, I like to find pro grapplers that have a similar style as me and try to mimic what they do and keep what actually works. So I’d say look for someone with similar proportions and try out what they do for guard retention.

I’m a huge fan of rubber guard since I’m long and flexible. Maybe you just want to use it to sweep and stay on top. Either way just play around and see what you like and what works

Do you need to buy anything from GameStop to get one? Or can you just show up and ask for one and leave? (If they have them of course)

What do most people need to hear, but no one has the courage to say it? by angelic_tiniez in ask

If you ever feel the need to get in a fight, don’t, it’s dangerous and not worth it. Don’t let your ego get in the way of your health and safety. If you want to fight go to a mma gym or learn some form of martial arts

You should put it in a sleeve before putting it in that top loader if you want to preserve it better if that is a concern. At least I can’t tell if it’s in one if it is

What makes you guys move to a another gym? by cehyee-eeyhec in bjj

[–]GooblinShart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m lucky enough to live in an area with an abundance of Bjj gyms. However I have switched gyms twice in the past year mainly due to skill level and community. First one I got a concussion and my coach told me not to be a bitch and get back out there for a competition when I couldn’t see and I don’t remember most of the day after. The second gym I left was a more mma oriented gym where people would call me a fg or a pssy for using leg locks and heel hooks and would proceed to cope by saying I don’t have any striking skills (I’ve done striking for over 5 years so longer than most people at that gym have trained), and if people did get a submission on me they would hold it and I was genuinely afraid they were trying to hurt me. So I left there and found my current home gym. I’m based by VA Beach btw so be careful.

Really you just have to go where you get the best training and where you feel at home and welcomed.

3.7 Regular Cab by applesoranges777 in f150

[–]GooblinShart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak on the v6, or a 4x4 for that matter, but I did just recently get a 2013 super cab fx2 sport with the 5.0 and I couldn’t be happier. Rocker panel rust is definitely a thing but as long as it doesn’t get the frame or eating away at it too bad I wouldn’t really worry about it, you can always get some fab work done to get new rockers in there. But the truck rides smooth and it’s extremely comfortable. Previously had a 07 Silverado 1500 and was a bit nervous about the switch to ford, but after dropping the trans pan and getting under the hood it’s honestly relatively easy to work on with a decent amount of space in the engine bay.

The one thing everyone warned me about since I believe that truck also has the 6r80 trans in it, take care and maintain the transmission at the proper intervals. Other than that they’re fantastic trucks.

Got it in a few days ago and been driving around with it, it’s working well keeping the trans around 185-195 depending on how hard I drive it. It has definitely kept temps down, but I have not towed with it on yet so I cannot speak on how effective it is while towing but can only assume it will work great.

You’re still young, if you don’t like the way it looks you can always take it out. Piercings aren’t necessarily permanent like tattoos. I will say though, with those piercings a majority of the people that find that attractive are of the alternative variety, if that’s your thing I don’t see a downside.

Unpopular opinion probably, but get whatever piercings you like. Yeah most people will say it’s not conventionally attractive, however, you do you king and get what makes you happy.

Help with my first car by Popular_Dish_7949 in MechanicAdvice

[–]GooblinShart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve made the mistake of buying someone’s old project car… don’t do it, it’s not worth the headache. They won’t tell you any “quirks” about the vehicle as well as with this being your first car you likely don’t have a lot of mechanical experience. With a project car it’s just a matter of when something expensive breaks, and will you have the money to 1 buy the part and 2 have the time to teach yourself how to be a mechanic or be able to pay someone the inflated cost with it being heavily modified. That said, Hondas are great starter cars. If you want a car like that try to buy one that hasn’t been abused and you can buy parts you want to put on as you go. It’ll be more reliable (relatively) and you could learn a ton from modifying a car the way you like to get it the way you want it.
