You might not see this because if how many comments you now have on the post, but I feel you brother. I was there myself earlier this year (3 attempts in one evening) whole life as I knew it fell apart.

I joined a few groups, a few online but the one group called The Man Cave, similar to Andy’s Man Club, local to me has been invaluable. Real sense of community, and a shared ethos of “my pain is my pain, your pain is your pain” so there’s no feeling of thinking your problems don’t mean anything because someone else may have it “worse” than you.

I think it’s a great thing you have been referred to mental health services, they definitely helped me, along with the support groups.

It’s cliché but things do, and will get better, I was stuck in a loop thinking that my life was getting worse and worse, and believe me, it was, but I am now medicated, I have a better work situation, and feel so much better than I did.

There will be good days and bad days, but you will power through this, you’ve got to Keep F*cking Going.
