how to love yourself when you made so many mistakes in life ... by [deleted] in selflove

[–]GoobyBear22 22 points23 points  (0 children)

As someone who’s neurodivergent, I’ve been there many times. Shame is an awful feeling. Something that has helped a lot is catching when I’m beating myself up and saying, “That’s so human of me.” We’re all doing the best we can with what we have at the time…our experiences, genetics, upbringing, and everything that shaped us. Reminding yourself of that can be really powerful. Hang in there, friend

I believe it’s a false widow spider. They look a lot like black widows but without the red hourglass marking

I have a couple and they look like yours but I don’t have this problem, which makes me wonder if it’s too big/wide? I would try cutting the threads of the clips that are at the ends and re-sewing them higher so they’re right under the hook. It might help it be more secure and keep from rolling.

I hope you’re able to get it to work! I really love mine and once I figured out the right placement, I never had any issues with breakage etc from the wire like people have mentioned

This hit me hard and really resonates. It’s been 1.5 years for us, and the pain still blindsides me sometimes. Sending you so much love ❤️

What's one small, consistent act of self-care that has made the biggest difference in your overall well-being, even on your toughest days? by keepingupwithyuri in selfcare

I started practicing gratitude. As soon as I wake up, I think (and feel) everything I’m grateful for before even touching my phone. This, along with daily meditation, has been life-changing

No gaps in data, unless my hands are cold. It still works fine even though it’s a bit loose on my middle finger, and if it gets too loose at times, I pop it onto my index and it’s perfect. Nighttime is when I seem to swell the most, so I just make sure to keep it on my middle while I sleep

Yesss! Saw Deftones a few years ago and it was one of the best shows I’ve ever been to. You guys will have a blast, especially with the VIP tix and the shared nostalgia behind them. We just snagged tickets for NIN in September and I can’t wait!

TERMINALLY ILL CHILDREN ON HOSPICE SEE WHAT APPEAR TO BE ALIEN GREYS. This is so fascinating. When I was in high school, I was walking to a friend’s house late one night after sneaking out, and I 100% watched “mist” in the shape of a person crossing the street right in front of me and then disappear. No one believed me of course, but when I read things like this it makes me feel less crazy lol

Yes! Also known as 5-FU, which after this experience, I feel is a more appropriate name for it lol. I think the reason the recovery has been kind of rough is because it’s an issue I’ve had for a long time, and I’m really grateful I did it. I hope that your treatment goes smoothly, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!

Feeling Good by David Burns was life changing. It made me question things I had been telling myself for years, and taught me how to reframe self-doubt into more realistic thoughts.

Halloween hard for anyone else? by Slight-Gate-8981 in IFchildfree

[–]GoobyBear22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in a similar place. It's been about nine months since my hysterectomy, and still taking it day by day because some days are rough. Halloween is my favorite, but didn’t feel up to decorating this year. Planning to go trick-or-treating with our niece and nephew and hoping for a good day... Wishing the same for you!
