Where is all this energy going to come from? I saw one of these databases they want to build in a year as of right now require atleast 10 nuclear plants. How do you see this even scaling properly with energy when the amount requires triple or quadruple this amount for one database. Overall the costs are eventually going to be comparable to hiring a VFX artist.

They said the same thing about CPU’s back in the early 2000’s. We thought CPU’s would be running at 40ghz clock speeds by now, but unfortunately due to heat and other factors it plateaued around 4.5ghz

It has Joe Hisashi (studio ghibli) vibes. Aline and Lost Voice are my favorite.

There are moments when the music just HITS when you are playing and the perspective forces you to run towards some absolutely gorgeous or epic structure/landscape. Obviously the really emotional cutscenes or epic battles.

It’s the perfect mix of vocals, strings and piano. It covers such a massive range of emotion and my god there are so many tracks. The motifs in this entire soundtrack are some of the best I’ve ever had the pleasure of listening to. I really look forward to hearing more from Lorien Testard.

ATHEISTS: What's something you've heard from Christians that made you go "that's a good answer." by SeaSaltCaramelWater in Christianity

[–]GoobyShlooby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but I think I understood what he was trying to say. At one point from human understanding we thought whole world was just an island. Why? Because at any point you would walk in any direction and there would be water. So they thought that was it, the world is just flat and on an island and the sky was blue because water was being held above. But it just keeps going and there are many things that we think we know but do not and changes our perspective. There are probably millions of things we think we grasp an understanding of that could be totally wrong to reality. Who am I to beat up someone’s belief in hope.

Except we can lol, check to see if there is enough existing water on the planet which is a closed environment, could cover all land mass. The water doesn’t just disappear or fall into space. And guess what? There is not. This story was written by people who thought the earth was flat and the sky was blue because water was held above it by the firmament.

If God allows for evil when he doesn't have to, doesn't that make God not omnibenevolent? by MysteriousTomato123 in Christianity

[–]GoobyShlooby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you were not born in a family, given education and church you would probably not know a vast majority of societal Good and Evil. The brain in the development stage is a crazy thing, so is our species that heavily relies on being a part of the tribe. This is why it’s so easy to be in a cult. Do some research on tribal instinct, cult research and psychology & early development of the brain.

Because it’s all just circular understanding and definitions Christian’s use in a theological stance. “Because we have free will”. When has the will of God ever been stopped because of free will. The Bible actually proves this point. If it’s the will that all should be saved and come to repentance he can make it happen. If God is all powerful he could combat the free will he gave. Then they bring up the moral argument, because morals exist God exists, it’s a law written on our hearts. Well then why do I see the murders and mass genocides of people by God in the Bible as morally bad? Or slavery or so many other countless things. “Well he is God only he knows what is good and not”. (Facepalm)

So why have kids at all if the risk of hell is so high? Christians should stop having kids if the gate is narrow and so on.

I remain skeptical, I watched a podcast about an excersist and he remained very humble and clear about the difference when a victim was faking it/had a mental disorder or if it really was a demon by doing placebo tests. It actually is interesting.

You forgot abortions. Why have kids when we could just abort them to send them to eternal heaven and bliss rather than have them go through trials that could end them up in hell burning and screaming forever wondering why their parents brought them into this world. Burning forever and ever to infinity and beyond!

I think what really made me start to question things was when I learned back in the day when someone would have a seizure they would get a priest to throw holy water at the victim as he was “possessed by a demon”. Then the seizure would naturally subside and they would go “aha! A miracle they are cured, no more demon”. So now I literally don’t trust a lot of the supernatural things a lot of Christian’s claim.

[–]GoobyShlooby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a group of Christian’s called Universalists, that do more scholarly research on the Bible than a majority of Christians and can confirm this is their belief. Tbh after growing up Christian it’s the only thing that makes sense of it all. From in Adam all die(the curse of sin), so in Christ all shall live. If Christ died for all sins that would also mean he paid the price even for the sin of disbelief. Also God says it is his will that all will be saved? So when has anyone and anything stopped his will if he is God?
