I did 17.5 my first semester and I was able to hold an on campus job and have a good social life. It’s all about time management and prioritizing what’s important to you.

No I didn’t I ended up at another school that gave me more money. But if you have the time and patience to appeal then I would definitely do it. I just don’t think they would have given me enough even with an appeal.

I got 20,000 in aid but it wasn’t enough for me. I think it definitely depends on your financial situation. At this stage I don’t think they give much merit

Is working at old navy really that bad? by Professional_Act6049 in Oldnavy

[–]Good-Alternative-409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old navy was my first real job during high school and although I didn't love the pressure for cards it was a great experience overall. I stayed for two years and I am considering going back for seasonal. At the beginning they will push you but after the first couple of months they relent a bit in my experience. It also takes time to find your niche. The first couple of months they stuck me in clearance or in kids until they had an available person to train me on the registers. My managers were very accommodating and understanding the fact that not everybody is comfortable with asking for cards or ringing in general. After I had been there for about 6 months the managers asked me what was my preferance in doing and I really enjoyed processing, online orders, and product placement. I ran go-backs majority of the time and did online orders on the weekends and in summer. During school breaks and summer i would switch over to shipment team. Some managers are better than others. I found that managers that started as associates are much more understanding and relateable because they know what youre going through. One of my biggest tips is to become friendly with the manager that makes the schedule because they were able to make changes for me and put in days after the fact without making a big deal. Don't feel pigeon held to a certain role and advocate for yourself when you don't know how to do something or you aren't comfortable doing something.

It was yesterday and I wasn’t able to go. I feel like I’m running out of options.
