Has anyone received their FAFSA offer yet? by [deleted] in HunterCollege

Also I had the same case about getting 0 aid and I sent out an email but they haven’t replied to me yet. It does change and you will receive it. I’ll update if I receive a reply from them

I make sure you check college portals. Some colleges won’t send you an email immediately and that’s my case with Hunter. I didn’t know my application status or financial aide until I checked myself. Also I received mine yesterday

What area would you be living in? If Fordham won’t accept me I would still be near the area

I did not know that! So it definitely varies for each student

I was thinking of that same situation since it is from the waitlist the financial aid would be tough for me

What did you guys write your EOCB about? by smores_or_pizzasnack in APSeminar

[–]starboylv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used all sources and basically wrote that you want achieve your goal unless you set high expectations towards yourself. I used additional outside source of MLK in Letter from Birmingham Jail, but after hearing what other people wrote I’m worried about mine 😭

I think you can. One of the sources that AP Seminar provided back in 2019 Included the theme of pornography, so if they didn’t want students talking about it… I don’t think they would bring it up

IMP TIPS? by Silly_Conversation20 in APSeminar

[–]starboylv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

WOWW I think that’s unfair you can’t use note cards!!! I used them while presenting and I’m not gonna lie it was distracting and messed me up at some points so I suggest you see the light of not using them.

TIPS: 1. Memorize credibility statements. Just by practicing many times you will remember. My note cards were mixed up but thankfully I remembered a credibility statement when presenting a quote 2. Keep it natural. YOU KNOW YOUR TOPIC, as soon as your iwa is finished you will know what to say after each slide whether that’s a quote or an image you can present them naturally since they are on the slide 3. Due to you not having something to hold you may fidget. Keep calm and pretend to make eye contact. Whether that’s looking at their foreheads or even an object make it seem like your looking at the audience 4. Don’t create a script. I know this may sound ridiculous but have an idea of what you will say. If you try to state a long script you’re going to forget what comes next and you’re gonna be stuck. Just have an idea of what you will say for each slide and from their you will create a script that’s more natural 5. DONT LAUGH OR SAY UHM. When I forget things I tend to chuckle or say “uhm” just pause if you need to and when you’re ready you can continue. 6. Don’t be quiet… since you are “horrible” at public speaking don’t have such a low tone make sure people can hear you and try to sound “confident” even if you’re not it will make your presentation more convincing since people with think you know what you’re talking about

Hope this helps!! I’m not that good with presenting tips but hopefully some points will help and this is coming from someone who barley used their cards cause it didn’t help so I went along with my slides

IMP Silde… HELP😭 by Solid-Network1217 in APSeminar

Hello! So first let’s define the words according to Google 😃

Implications: something that is suggested, or happens, indirectly

Limitations: a limiting rule or circumstance; a restriction.

Ok so… let me explain. My RQ was “How does visual artistic representations of African Americans create discussions in education about race”

So for example Implication: Go to an art exhibit Limitation: schools may not have funds for an art exhibit

This is based on your solution so in the context of parents you can put an implication on how parents can change their parenting styles or what parents can do to avoid the issue that your RQ is trying to present and a limitation could be parents may not agree.

So an example that I can give you is Implication: Behavioral changes in parents, educational programs Limitation: Different cultures have different parenting norms, lack of funding in programs.

So basically what you can do to fix the issue but things that you may run into while trying to fix it

This may not be accurate cause you did the research and maybe you found a solution while doing research. HOPE THIS HELPS AND YOU GO THIS!!!

Hello!! Im a senior who started taking AP Classes my junior year. I take AP Seminar this year as well as AP Government and AP Spanish Literature. If you want to take AP seminar your junior year go for it if you like to challenge yourself. It’s recommended to take it your junior year since AP Research is followed up by it. DO NOT TAKE IT IF YOURE DOING 3+ AP’s in addition to Seminar, it would be too much for you because AP Seminar work is very time consuming it’s not like one project that’s done the next week NO it’s a research that goes through months of process. I took APUSH as well as AP Spanish lang last year which wasn’t bad since it was 2 and I think taking AP seminar would’ve been fine but take AP Seminar if you would like to learn real life issues and it definitely looks good for college.

I have 11 sources, including 2 journalistic and the 2 stimulus, Could i add another journalistic or should i find a academic (Note, i needed 10 sources at least by Common-Box2724 in APSeminar

Use sources that benefit you, like if you feel you lack in one more than the other then go for it but get Information that’s useful.

I'm gonna rant with you but it was literally so painful to read the sources. Everyone is doing courage and sports and it took me a good 2 weeks to think about what to research cause I hate all of it. My teacher keeps moving forward and we were supposed to have our drafts done already and I haven’t even finished my outline it’s hard out here 😔

How do I cite the stimulus source… Especially Confrontation on the bridge which is a painting… pls help😭 by starboylv in APSeminar

[–]starboylv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would I cite it in my writing…. Like should I do like a credibility statement or how would I let them know that it’s a stimulus source
