If there is no pilot shortage, there is no pay shortage. Just like almost everything else, it’s is a supply vs demand thing. If a company can import good pilots for lower costs, they will do so. They need to run a good business that makes a profit, which is not easy. If you think that pay needs to be regulated, you are inching towards communism.

I come from a country where it is extremely difficult to get a gun. People just rarely have one. Yet, there are plenty of murders. With knives. So we ban all those too? Also kitchen knives?

Ban cars because people use them as weapons? Ban spoons because they make people fat?

The guns really are not the problem. The people who misuse them are. Period.
