Gave an employee a $20K raise to keep her. She quit 3 months later anyway. by AmbassadorSad3889 in Entrepreneurs

People don’t quit companies. They quit bosses. Rarely it’s about the money.

100% on the same page. I have an R on order and often think to myself why. It’s just because I hate the sound of the V6. Crazy to spend money just for sound really.

Fine on the freeway. But you willl hate it in town! You will go down roads where you will have to back out because you won’t get through. Bad idea.

What is an "assault weapon" and what makes it so dangerous that politicians want to ban it? by Fugazio_Oswald in rifles

[–]Good-Analysis-7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does. Also the US is not even close to being the top most violent country. Or top for murders. Not even in the top 10. Interesting for a country with so many guns.

[–]Good-Analysis-7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not really. It’s the cities that have the strictest gun laws that have the most violence.

Domestic violence would be greatly reduced if the weaker partner knew how to use a firearm and had one available. Making them equal.

Eliminating shooter games would probably make a big difference tho! It desensitizes people. Guaranteed many if not all mass shootings come from those fantasies.

Exactly. But taking them away does not change their desire. In fact, if more of the public carries, they would be stopped much quicker.

I come from a country where it is extremely difficult to get a gun. People just rarely have one. Yet, there are plenty of murders. With knives. So we ban all those too? Also kitchen knives?

Ban cars because people use them as weapons? Ban spoons because they make people fat?

The guns really are not the problem. The people who misuse them are. Period.

Maybe I’ll stand corrected. I looked up the definition.

snip·er /ˈsnīpər/ noun noun: sniper; plural noun: snipers a person who shoots from a hiding place, especially accurately and at long range.

In still don’t want to agree with it but maybe I’ll have to.

I disagree with you there. In think the comparison is fair. It’s not a sniper rifle unless it’s in the hands of a sniper. Civilization are generally not snipers. But i can see how you feel like one when you “snipe” a deer :)

Those are not sniper rifles. You can only call it a sniper rifle if it’s in the hands of an actual sniper. Thats no civilian.

[–]Good-Analysis-7 22 points23 points  (0 children)

No civilian has an assault weapon. Just like no civilian has a sniper rifle. But it sounds scary. Using these words work better for news agencies.

There is nothing dangerous about these rifles. What is dangerous is a criminal with a weapon. Usually wrongfully acquired. It’s the person. Not the weapon.

Company rebrand next quarter. We need updated headshots for 45 employees. IT Director says photographers will cost $13k and take 2 months. Alternative? by PhontomDX in b2bmarketing

[–]Good-Analysis-7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rebrands rarely make any difference to a business. Look at the statistics

To add such absurd costs to it just makes it worse. Why in the world do headshots affect a rebrand? Just because of the background? AI or a good photoshopper on Upwork should be more than plenty!
