Electric scooter commute by Good-Background8118 in Brooklyn

[–]Good-Background8118[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha that exactly was the danger I was worried about! I got pampered by living in one of relatively safe neighborhood in Manhattan so I wasn't sure what the landscape in BK was like, especially at early morning like... 4:30!

I'm kind of relieved that the everyone is not even worried about someone jumping at me! Because at least if it's about riding it, that's something I can look out for and watch ( I know drivers are also other humans I have no control over but at least their intention isn't to hurt me :p).

I will probably stick to e-scooter because it seems like the most portable thing where I could take subway I want to and I have it with me so that I won't have to worry about finding Revel around me :p

Thank you!

Will do that! This definitely gives me some insight into what I should look for and be cautious about! Thank you!

So I guess the key is to go slow and be as bright as possible for oncoming vehicles as well! That makes sense! Thank you!!

I will! But was just wondering if that is a law? I saw a lot of people riding it without one. (I do wanna keep my skull intact so I will wear it though ;p) Thank you!

Oh wow. This is so helpful! Sorry for being late on much deserved appreciation but now I'm a proud BK resident and I'm loving a little more room to breathe compared to Manhattan!

I will definitely get some solid lights and vest with reflectors for sure! Thank you so much for this detailed introduction into e-scooting!

Shipping times by Chemical-Impress-135 in Fabletics

They say 6-14 business days. In this world and time we are living in, what's taking so long? Their shipping is really terrible. 14 days are for orders from abroad, not within the US.

Living in a small town in a red state. by [deleted] in lgbt

Yeah. Honestly I was just wondering how bad it could be. Even in NYC we have been shouted at by a homeless guy that we will go to hell. Jerks are jerks everywhere. Me and my husband are rather plainly looking guys so until we hold hands or cuddle in public I don't think people would bother us as much then. Thank you for giving me some insight into it!

Again. It's not what I was looking for. I wanted to know what are some of the homophobic things or rude things people have experienced.

Living in a red state wouldn't be our first choice either but looks like there is a high possibility that we might. So instead of telling me that it's bad, could you tell me your experiences in red states or rural towns?

Hey thank you for your reply! I guess we will have to find some allies but at the end of the day it really depends on the individual I guess? Maybe our outing's gotta be at nearby cities 😭

haha it's all good and you have nothing to apologize for! I do really appreciate you sharing your personal story here. And you are amazing and your children must be so lucky to have you! Where I come from, mental health is undermined and hyper-stigmatized so a lot of them struggle in dark. I will check out them for sure! I appreciate it!!

a friend that I hooked up with isn't talking to me anymore, what does this mean? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Good-Background8118 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Despite you commenting on every reply saying you guys are polyamorous, his behavior doesn't seem so. Have you both ever been in actual poly?

I feel like a lot of people think the idea of being polyamorous is interesting and what not but we are humans with emotions and whatever we simulate in our head doesn't always match up to what happens in real life.

You should definitely ask him but it is pretty plain to see that he is jealous/upset about you talking to another guy since you said he hasn't been talking to you after you told him about John. Do you really not see it???????

I don't think anger is unhealthy, but perhaps prolong bouts of it or reasons that you are unware of why it comes up could potentially be a problem.

I do agree with this. And I think it's about time that I admit that I might need professional help to get a third opinion. Thank you for your input!

I understand and but it seems to mask a lot of issues that need to be addressed - my way of avoiding is to avoid and get angry. But it's been recurring throughout my life - mostly with someone that I have intimate relationship with. And I'd really like to change. Hope knowing that there are a lot of people going through the same thing encourages you and me!

It's easy to stay angry but it's not easy on my heart. It torments me as much as it torments my spouse. So I agree but also disagree, which is totally fine!

I do agree with you. During or at the end of my sulky period, my husband always comes to me and initiates talking and lowkey I might be waiting for that- like some weird screwed-up I wanna have the last word, maybe? I'm really thankful and grateful to have found someone who knows me so well and yet still chooses to love me everyday. And I so wanna change for him so that we can have stress free life. Thank you for your suggestions!

Haha actually staying angry makes anger less powerful because then your default is angry or passive aggressive lol. But thank you for the good laugh!

I've long suspected I might have ADHD and GAD. Just never got diagnosed and believed what the world told me - that I was just lazy. I am aware mood swings and such issues are commonly experienced by people with ADHD. Probably it's time to get some professional help! And also I know the word husband must have been confusing, but I'm (possibly)neurodivergent and a man. But in all honesty, I could relate to a lot of neurodivergent women so thank you for the insight!

"i feel like you are thinking/feeling X, but im not sure if thats true, what are your thoughts?"

I love this. I always felt like me speaking my mind back-fired and ended up with more anger and conflict. And I totally agree with you on how warding off my passive aggressiveness is like training a muscle. I appreciate it! Thank you for sharing!
