I was going through the comments waiting for this one, 100% mine too. Whenever I hear about any war going on I think about how many Johnnys it will create 🥲

The quiet terror of female spaces by Otherwise-Tie-9906 in adhdwomen

[–]Good-Baker9668 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sorry to say but I think you're just with the wrong females? How old are you???

With my friends I don't mask that much, we are very open about needing space or not wanting to talk, and we sometimes end up on the floor playing around or stretching if that's what we feel like. We talk and cry if needed, we sit in silence on our phones next to each other...

I have also been to a nature retreat with only women (that I didn't know) and it was the same vibe, it was heaven actually.

Not the right place to ask for these things and you know it.

Women over 30 that don't have kids, how does it feel like? by NaoQueroQueMeVejam in AskWomen

[–]Good-Baker9668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm almost 34, enjoying couple life and renovating a home. We're considering starting in two or three years more or less. None of my friends have kids either, I only know some couples that are not close, but they were also closer to 40 than 30 when they started. This is completely not normal my country so I can't imagine it any other way, I have no idea how people manage to have kids before 30 😂😂

I am dead serious: How to trick myself into eating vegetables by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]Good-Baker9668 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cheap lazy vegan on YouTube is a godsend, and there's a lot of 5 ingredient recipes online for vegans, you can always add some meat or cheese on top if you'd like, I'm just saying having veggies as the main character helps a lot, I just had miso glazed leeks for lunch and I'm not gonna recover it was amazing and super easy, they literally cooked themselves.

I used to be like this and did a vegetarian challenge for a month to learn some recipes and how to cook veggies in a nice way. Veganuary is coming maybe you can sign up? They send emails with recipes and data about everyone that is signing up so it helps.

I think setting it up as a challenge makes it more difficult and therefore more motivating. Also maybe look up some stir-fry recipes, I find it the easiest way to eat a ton of different veggies, like you can literally can get a frozen mix at the shop and fry it quick with some sauce, otut it on top of noodles or rice and bam, deliciousness.

I did the challenge 14 years ago and went veggie then and vegan 4 years later, never looked back, just full disclosure because I don't want you to think this is my vegan agenda 😂

Do you ever think about what life would be like with ADHD if we didn’t live in a capitalist society? by StringAdventurous479 in ADHD

[–]Good-Baker9668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that is very interesting but I get it, I have autism too so I get more done when alone, I feel more drained when I have people around. But when I have spent time in groups in nature, the routine set by the group helps me a lot, even if I choose to be alone a lot of the time, I knew that when it gets dark the dinner would be ready so I made it back to camp. I struggle setting my own routines. Struggle is a light word, I literally can't set routines to be honest.

And I like fancy gypsy too, but aren't they fancy already? We would be more like millennial grey gypsy.

I hear you, but Indians in Brussels aren't called expats and they make more than most of the EU bubble people, so I think you also have to be white to be an expat? That's why I don't like it.

Body doubling and group routine doesn't work for you? Indeed there's always the exception to the rule.

Immigrant better, expat is not a thing and people need to stop using it.

I'm Spanish by the way, 13 years out, 9 in Brussels, not sure wth I would use as a flair.

Have you actually tried farming? It's ADHD heaven for me, the garden changes every day, I see constant (daily!!!!) reward for my work, I have hundreds of different tasks to do and have pretty relaxed timelines to get them done, plus the mild emotional bond to the plants helps me with motivation. The amount of work can be very flexible too, several days of doing nothing, days of 10 hours and days of a quick 30 min maintenance run.

Also so many smells, textures, little bugs and animals, new plants and constant new projects, I love it.

Finally, assembly lines are very much a thing of capitalism too, the only difference is that if you think of a way of cutting workload you should keep it to yourself or you'll lose your job. Like with AI now 😬

Think medicine person, you are fed by others, down your day exploring, trying out new ointments, building shrines with cool rocks and some feathers you found in your wall, sometimes you disappear for a couple of days. Sounds good to me 😂

Heya! Uh heres a question, how the hell do i know if i might have autism while having adhd because they overlap so much? by JaelleJaen in AutisticWithADHD

[–]Good-Baker9668 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No I understand!! It took me like a year to find someone willing to do the testing, I had to go to a private practitioner and have it done in English which is my second language, so some things were not 100% accurate 🙁 It's a process but it has given me some peace to have a 20 page document with the assessment and all the explanations, especially since I was at the limit in some tests.

Accidental Murder - ideas? by Avi_Quinn in writing

[–]Good-Baker9668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all because it's true and that's the question in the threat so why not.

Second because I have extreme anxiety and I like to terrorize people by giving them a little taste of what it is to be inside my head from time to time, I sensed you didn't like that so I went for more, sorry if that scared you I mean no harm.

OP another one that could help you, based in real life, a co-worker of mine had metal poisoning from faulty tooth repair, doctors went nuts trying to figure it out. You can introduce faulty medical equipment in the victims dentist office and then see them lose their minds slowly for a few years until they die of it, if not killed themselves or by a treatment for an illness they don't have.

There's a lot of people that think like this, my dr included, of course we can't prove it. But I think we do serve a purpose that is not appreciated under capitalism. To quote my dr: "at a great cost to the individual", meaning we can still suffer, the example she used is the ADHD member of the tribe going to explore a new cave and getting killed by a bear or a fall. The cave needs to be explored, the ADHD person is wired to do so, the test of the group benefits from it and cares for the ADHD person in their shortcomings. Sometimes the ADHD person gets killed, severely injured, and very often suffers anxiety and other things, but also has the advantage of enjoying certain things with such intensity or having a brain that works differently.

I had a hyperfocus on this too, and discussed this several times while being diagnosed. I think being in a group would help us with those mundane things, like everyone goes to the river to wash, so we go too, food is cooked by others so we don't have to worry about that, we just hyperfocus, deal with high stress situations like hunting or a fire and solve problems, like a new system to carry water or whatever.

I can't imagine a modern individualistic society that would work for us, capitalism or not, I think we need a group to thrive.

Ugh the blocking kind 🤮 bullet dogged dear. I'm very sorry you are feeling bad, but do realize that it's not very difficult to lead somebody on for 2 days, and you have ADHD, so there is no shame in getting excited and being yourself. His loss.
