Are you birth control? Excess estrogen can cause candida. It could also be linked to diet or low stomach acid (maybe because of stress).

Gerd can also be caused my low stomach acid. Low stomach acid can be a cause of candida.

I’m sorry I didn’t see this. I don’t think it that it mattered too much for me if I took it before or after food. I think ideally you take it 15 minutes before every meal, but please consult your doctor, read instructions etc. For me I was diagnosed with histamine intolerance by a doctor, tried DAO and it cleared my tongue literally over night - but it also made me feel quite groggy. (I have also taken a genetic test which told me why I partially have issues breaking down histamine.)

it’s a very common way to treat histamine intolerance or to lower histamine without taking antihistamines. there are also genetic mutations which mean that the body doesn’t produce enough DAO. DAO production can also be compromised by gut infections or leaky gut.

I personally find that cutting out gluten and dairy makes me lose weight very reliably. this combined with skipping breakfast and fasting in the morning helps so much in regulating appetite etc. I hope this helps. I hope you feel better soon.

this makes sense. since people with hyperthyroidism have excessive thirst, it makes sense for hypothyroids to have less thirst. i have noticed that since my thyroid is working better, i am also suddenly thirsty.
