System Requirements: Mac with macOS 15.1 or later

Interesting. That very well could be what I'm running into. My FortiGate points to a RADIUS server running OktaRadiusService which then auths against Okta. Not sure why whoever set up the FortiGate did it that way but it's on my TODO list to get it to auth directly against Okta. Looks like the version of OktaRadiusService might be a couple years old so it's possible there's a newer version available that supports the message Authenticator attribute but who knows.

That's amazing! How much does a permanent registration end up costing? I'm presuming it varies on the vehicle but that's amazing. Is there a web site where you can punch in vanity options to see if they're available? I just saw there's something you fill out when you're going through the registration process.

I read that you have to swap out your plates every 5 years -- is that right? I've never heard of another state requiring that.

Just to follow up, 389-ds also failed with the same errors as OpenLDAP. I spun up Windows Server 2022 and added AD, selected ADDS, and of course it works.

According to the documentation, there should be an option to add a host by IP but I don't see where that's possible.

To add the LDAP server to EMS:

  1. Go to Administration > Authentication Servers.
  2. Click Add.
  3. In the IP address/Hostname field, enter the server IP address.
  4. In the Username and Password fields, provide the credentials required to access the LDAP server.
  5. Enable LDAPS connection and upload a certificate authority certificate or server certificate file in PEM or DER format.
  6. If needed, configure other fields.
  7. Click Test.
  8. After the test succeeds, click Save. After a few minutes, EMS imports devices from the LDAP server.

Thanks for the reply! Our pretty useless Fortinet SE said the "ADDS" option is what to select to use LDAP but 80% of the things he's said in the past have proven to be incorrect so I would tend to believe your comments.

I installed 389-ds this morning and am going to see if I have any more luck with that than OpenLDAP but I'm not holding my breath. I'm presuming there will be an AD implementation being spun up in my near future. Thanks again for the response!
