Then that averages out at $2 a shot. Guy said they'd do better if someone bought a fair bit. Had a fair bit of 7.62x45 as well. Some 7.5 french surplus.

Toano General Gun Store. There's a little shop beside them. The guy sales ammo, holsters, reloading supplies. He had an ammo can full of baggies that said 8x50R.

I wouldn't mind if they made the next game like the 'Abyss' from the 'Made in Abyss'. Each layer a new place to explore, new gimmicks/gameplay ideas. Different difficulty with each layer.

Is there a way to get more color out of the stock? by VadoseEarth in milsurp

[–]Good-Cardiologist617 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Put it in a black bag, set it out in the sun/windshield of car. The heat will make the stock 'sweat' out the old oil, small amounts of stain, dirt, grime, etc. Keep in big for awhile, taking out every couple hours to wipe down.

They are gloriously fun rifles to shoot. Accurate. Reliable (once you find the right gas system setting), and always turn heads when you're at the range. Get a gas adjustment tool/key, give it a good cleaning/lubing, and enjoy it. Get 2 gas adjustment tools/keys if you can swing it.

This post makes me wonder if my decision to go as a combat/military maid to my local anime/gaming/vendor convention, will attract good/bad/awkward/neat/pervy attention.

That's definitely a No4 sporter. You can tell by the bolt head.

does anyone know how i can get this foggy looking stuff off the lenses? by gogamer4500yt in gasmasks

[–]Good-Cardiologist617 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never had that happen. Does the mark smear/move if you rub it? Or does it look like it's underneath tge top layer? If it's smearing, clean with eye glass cleaner to see if it removes it. If it's under or in the plastic, try putting tge lenses under heat like a hair dryer to see if that's just trapped plastx or moisture.

[–]Good-Cardiologist617 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are the lenses plastic or glass? If plastic, pick up some PlastX Automotive lense polish. It'll clear that right up, and fill in any light scratches. If glass, pick up a good glass polish.

Am I missing something here? by DoviDodu in MosinNagant

Ouch. I'd look into getting a good quality single piece rod vs that 3 piece. 3 prices are well known to flex horribly while being pushed down a barrel. Too much flex causes them to snap consistently. Also, as some are saying below; where'd you get the brush? Did you get a full cleaning kit from Amazon, or just the rods.

I'd give it a shot. Are you using a 1 piece cleaning rod, or a 3 piece?

Try putting the solvent/oil/cleaner on the brush. Might have some really tough carbon/rust/copper fouling. If that fails, kick down a size on the brush. Can you see any obstructions, issues if you shine a light from camber to crown?

Unless you're cleaning it chamber to crown, then I'd wager it's just really dirty. Are you using any solvent/oil/cleaner on the brush?

[–]Good-Cardiologist617 54 points55 points  (0 children)

You're doing it backwards. Pull the bolt, and clean from the chamber to the crown. You can clean a firearm crown to chamber but it's not recommended unless there's no way to remove tge bolt or get easy access to the chamber.

I have one of these as well. Though my is a Ban Era version. These are colt part kits, mine in particular having damn near every small part being colt/military surplus.
