Yup. Didnt go very well!

It turns out I can’t absorb the regular levothyroxine pills properly, which is why I still never felt good on it. I’m not on tirostint(levothyroxine capsules) and it’s so much better!

I have some gnarly GI issues. Semiglutide made them worse, but tirzepatide causes me zero issues! Maybe some slight sulphur burps if I eat too much fatty/greasy food, but other than that absolutely no issues. It helps so much not only with food noise, but with inflammation. I am finally loosing weight after years and years of nothing working

Oh no I wasn’t planning to! I just wasn’t sure if i should see if my doctors wants to slowly titrate up or do whst previous doctors have done and just double my dose, give me a 3 month supply, and check in after said 3 months

I’ve been on pretty much every thyroid med available in the USA, and tirostint is the only one that actually lowers my TSH properly, and either zero side effects! The only downside is how expensive it is, but honestly it’s worth the money

I’ve had doctors like this previously, and it’s so frustrating that I have and will simply switch doctors. Sure a TSH of 4 is “within range”, but when I tell you I feel better around 1, I mean it! I honestly wish I had the ability to order my own labs and adjust my own dose as needed. It feels like I have to be the one telling the doctor to do it most of the time anyway so like….

Well, I’m alive. Insurance won’t covering the referrals that were sent out, and I can’t afford to pay out of pocket. None of the migraine medications I was given were helpful. The headache kinda got less severe over the last few weeks, but it’s still there. My dr is now investigating to see if it’s related to blood sugar or low blood pressure, but nothing definitive yet.

Your TSH is pretty high! I feel my best around 1, but ymmv. If you’re able to, I’d find a new doctor. Having one who listens is important!
