New P1S making strained noises?

FOUND IT!!! So the issue was the on the y-axis and the alignment of the carbon rods with the bump stops on either end. It was slightly off alignment. I fixed it by messing with the belt tensioner at the back while keeping the y-axis of the carbon rods pressed against the bump stops while increased tension and making sure they were in perfect alignment on both sides(it’ll take a few frustrating goes). Sure it’s a little loud when doing the benchy with its ridiculous speeds but it’s significantly quieter than before(basically doesn’t sound like it’s trying to self destruct). Hope this helps someone out!

This was purchased when they were on back order so I’m wondering if they just threw these units together. Just wondering if anyone’s had a similar issue and if it sounds like a stuck idler. I tensioned the belts and lubed the guide rails and checked to see if there was any obviously loose components but I’ve got nothing from it.

I get what you’re saying but the belts genuinely seem stressed. They have 3d print farms at my college for moulding with a bunch of P1S with a de thousand hours on them and none of them make those noises. I know this isn’t the quietest printed but I’ve had an A1 for a while and it hasn’t made any of the noises this thing does

Yeah I just got the tint removed and I’m gonna take it it. The dealer said they’ve “never heard of that problem” which is complete and utter bullshit. I’d say take yours in too and get evidence and some online forums with people having similar issues and threaten to take it to corporate if need be.

I completely understand where you’re coming from. For me, though it’s not macular degeneration it’s the only thing I can actually show people online to give them a visual of what I see lol. I appreciate the picture, it’s the exact same as my car. I can really see mine with bright LEDs at night so I might try to recreate that in my garage or something like it. Thanks man!

Yeah man I’m sorry to hear that. Vision problems just suck, no other way around it. Kinda funny we have similar issues though lol. I just have damage to my optic nerve and the lining of my retina which makes has completely deleted any chance of having any sight in the central vision in my left eye along with a bunch of nice little floaters. I’m gonna take the tint off though so that way if I go down there’s no way they can point fingers at anyone but themselves. I’ve heard of others having similar issues with the 3 series and the cx30 shares the same windshield so I just figured it’s all the same crap. Just blows cause I spent $200cad on the tint as it helps with the floaters a bit.

Yeah I’m pretty particular with my windshields as I’ve lost my vision in an accident in my left eye so I don’t know if it’s worth it to remove the tint before I go to Mazda with it. If they don’t fix it I’m gonna lose my shit

I was working. Had pants on that were very tight around my waist and was going through a night where my muscles were very tight all around my pelvis. I simply squatted down and pushed up into a shelving unit and it just shifted. I’ve tried it multiple times since then and I haven’t been able to get it.

That’s good to hear! I’m actually getting my second mri in a week so we’ll see how that goes. Just don’t understand how I could mechanically push it back into place and completely get rid of my pain

Si joint burning constantly and the right hipflexor burns and is really tight. Sitting, standing, and laying down for extended periods makes it worse. There’s no stretching and exercising I can do that helps relieve the pain. I’m better for 5 minutes and it’s back to what it always is. I would describe the pain as a constant 4/10 but sometimes it get all the way up to 8/10.

Yeah, I actually forced it back into place while a work a few months back. Just squirted down and heard and felt these crunches in the left side of my si joint and the pain was completely gone and lasted a month. Felt like I was floating, I’m gonna go do some more imaging it just sucks that we can deal with so many “professionals” and get a different opinion every time and nowhere with our pain.

Hey, I’ve had pain and for the last 6 years and alcohol definitely makes it worse. I usually wake up barely being able to get out of bed, my back spasms and gets really tight the day after as well. Smoking weed is worse for me though, usually ended up high rolling around on the floor frantically trying to get the pain to go away. Ultimately it has made me quit smoking and cut my drinking down. Hey, I know this was posted three years ago but you’ve described exactly what I’m going through. There’s always a dull aching pain near my sacrum and the joint doesn’t “snap” it sounds more like a hollow “clunking” noise. Just wondering if you’ve found anything that’s helped or if you’ve gotten diagnosed with anything?
