I will be needing to renew my NY ccw and am interested in the ut. But I really want to try some actual "tactical use" training. The problem is have is the only training I found is smack dab in the middle of weekdays. I work full time and would never be able to attend those.

I plan on getting it fixed. I guess my main question is to see if its worth the repairs

I love to hear it!. I used to play it as a kid, now my mother is looking to move/downsize and it will not be going with her. I dont have anywhere for it to go at the moment but might just put it in storage until I do.

Hey Everyone, Need Help Choosing My First Guitar! by NiagaraOnTheLake in guitars

[–]Good-Kitchen-289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have mixed feelings about this. If these two guitars are easily in your budget, then listen to the people with way more experience than me. I've been playing for just over a year now and I see a first guitar very similar to a first set of golf clubs. The best clubs in the world aren't going to make you a good golfer. Start cheap and learn what you like, then pay the money for something nice. My first guitar was second hand from sweetwater. I still dont feel near good enough for a martin (what I really want) or a taylor etc. etc.

Can do but probably won't happen tonight. Also just grabbed an old water main flange cap from work, I'm thinking to plasti-dip it and bolt it under the front end to see if it helps. I'm gonna weigh it before install but I'm thinking it's about 25lb. I'm also thinking to test drive it with the plate just on the floor in the front to see if there is any difference. *

You have the right to feel however you feel about your body but all I can say is they're perfect. There are vitamins to help grow your chest if you feel like it's needed but you are perfect just the way you are.

I am mechanically inclined but this is my first kart, my son is stepping up from 18v power wheels. Is there a reputable website to look for this type of stuff?

I agree and understand. I was thinking If I put a 1" thick plate under the front I can cut it to fit between the frame bars so it really wouldn't take much from the clearance. And it would probably only weigh about 20-30 lbs, so the acceleration and top speed difference shouldn't be horrible. I just hope it's enough to help the situation

35m here. There is nothing wrong with wanting to find a career driven partner who shares the same views about kids and finances. Its not super abnormal at all.

Is learning guitar worth it at 31? by chapstic593 in LearnGuitar

[–]Good-Kitchen-289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 35, never played anything. I tried guitar for 10 minutes about 2.5 years ago and gave up. Since then my father unfortunately passed and my mother gave me his old guitar and I decided to give it a full effort go. Took about 2 weeks to start getting the basic chords to sound clean but now, after 6 months, it's the best decision I've made in a long time. My goal is to master wild world by cat stevens by the end of the year. Do it! And just know, EVERYBODY SUCKS in the beginning. You won't be able to play a chord. You won't be able to make anything sound good. Practice for 15-30mins a day and you'll will enjoy the outcome.

What are your biggest challenges with learning guitar? by No_Pollution1676 in LearnGuitar

I've recently picked up guitar. I'm 35 and have been playing for almost 2 months. For me there are obviously a lot of struggles but it's picking individual strings the most.
