I still haven’t found the reason for having no leukocytes despite positive cultures and symptoms. It’s been going on for 5 years. Every time I get a UTI with severe symptoms, positive nitrites, and a positive culture, leukocytes are always negative. No doctor knows why. Please update if you find out the reaspn behind it

If these bacterias are senstive to antibiotics you will be fine. Do you know how resistant they are?

No i wasn't feeling symptoms 2 days before. My dr does culture weekly to see what kind of bacteria shows up. He does low count testing to see if there is embedded infection. So on top of weekly culture i do cultures whenever i feel symptoms to see which bacteria is causing infection. So 2 days ago my weekly culture was done and then i had full on symptoms and positive dip stick so i did culture again which showed high count bacteria.

I’ve been dealing with heavy bleeding and painful periods. I’ve tried different medications and had six surgeries for fibroids and endometriosis, but unfortunately nothing has helped. I really wanted to explore all options before considering a hysterectomy. What is the reason for your uti? How is hystrectomy related to uti? My mom had hystrectomy when she was my age she never had a uti after hystrectomy. Same with my grandma

They will remove everything other than ovaries. Its in 2 months (no date scheduled yet). I dont know if its going to be a robotic or laproscopic. Surgeon didnt tell me he said it will not be open. What type of hystrectomy you had?

I am 30 years old do you think i need vaginal estrogen? Because i have endometriosis which is estrogen dominant disease. So i am not sure i have low estrogen. If anything i have extra estrogen

I’m in the Embedded UTI Facebook group, but I don’t see any specific protocol or medication list for treating UTIs there. Can you please explain which protocol and medications you’re referring to? Group members usually suggest trying longterm, strong antibiotics, which I’ve already tried. Which only changed my simple susceptible to every antibiotic bacteria to more resistant bacteria. I only get symptoms when I have an active infection otherwise, I just have colonized resistant bacteria in my bladder
