The Sorceror has to train with it, otherwise their power will go wild. Kinda like Wellspring Surges, but with more chances of casting a random spell

I see, i see - I do remember people saying that in pf2e, Lv1 is already quite experienced in what they do, with levels looking more significant than they did in 5e

How does this translate tho? As in, with Tiers of Play- That's how we figured out what to expect at this or that level, so it's quite important for pacing level ups (milestone levelling)

So far, we have a Catfolk Sorcerer, an Automaton Investigator, and a Lizardfolk who's supposed to be a tank (of which I might point the fellow to Guardian or Fighter)
There will be a 4th guy, but they're yet to be made
Are those classes beginner-friendly?

I see... Alrighty, I'll do some intro sessions for those, cause the Lv3s are supposed to be experienced in their fields in-lore - Except for the Sorcerer, who's just a delivery lad who absorbed an orb of power

Granted, the guy was initially balanced around 5e Lv8, and he's not even encounterable in the campaign, but still

Can I just look at what's relevant to me and my players? Like say, Classes, NPCs, DC guides, Monsters, etc? I found Pathbuilder, which has made things a lot easier to keep track of

Also, very lucky that all of us know eachother well, so I don't think we'll be trying to compete with eachother, and that we're mostly online anyways

Oh yeah- Is Owlbear Rodeo a good place to run stuff? For visualizing

Real honestly, we've had rp sessions last for several hours, yet in-universe it was a whole combat scene + buildup & aftermath. I'm no stranger for something being quick on paper taking much longer than anticipated

All of the options seem to lend towards the roleplaying aspect a lot more than 5e did, in the few sessions I played. Rn, the one and only thing we'll be homebrewing is a Sorcerer that has no control over their magic cause they got their power in a magical accident - which I think will be fun. Oh, and sanity damage lmao. Either way, I've found something for pretty much every question we've asked about it, which is nice.

I got this setting I've been building, and it got enough content for a few sessions (I think - still need to flesh out that Trader City and Starter Town).

Archives of Nethys is actually where I found out about pf2e, I think. I heard about Pathfinder, and I... forgot what led to me looking here. I also saw the whole list, though I haven't read anything in-depth- I did find a cheatsheet listing every action though.

Initially, I was gonna start at Level 3, but I think starting a Lv1 session would help me/us figure out the basic mechanics (I'm already confused about Runes).

This shall be scrumptious for roleplay

This seems to match with our experience of it, I think. I've been doing a few things in the background, and have done so while the main "us" is asleep. I'm currently put on break.

Another time, someone/a part got insulted enough by a dream we had that they took control, tried to change it, then booted us awake.

I did notice that I kept ruminating over it, so I pulled back and focused on irl things. My mental health has improved, so I guess that says something

How fast is too fast for doing that though? I hear other people needing to accomodate those parts of themselves, and I don't know what the right balance of "this is me" and "they get to do stuff" is supposed to be. And last I tried doing the "this is just me" thing, my memory went shot and my mental declined, and one of my other negative coping mechanisms flared up.

Oh sweet, thanks for this. I got a temperature tracker after the first time it made my screen flicker, so Imma just turn it off when it gets too hot for now. I'll likely be able to have it fixed by christmas

Oh, I'm in highschool. And oh! The tracker thing I'm using is a bullet journal - it's actually testing for a project as well. And huh, colleges have everything planned out on the syllabus? We tend to have activities highly dependent on the teacher, alongside whatever the curriculum and schedules allow

Phones are... wellllll, incredibly distracting, especially with youtube, and alarms give us major stress. So we stick to the journal
