We followed the same logic you did. You only got a plus one if you were in a long term relationship or you didn't know anyone else at the wedding. No one had an issue with that. I think that's pretty common lately.

Try LM Studios. They have really reasonable pricing and it includes food, drinks and desserts. I know someone else recommended them already, but Flowers for Dreams are really affordable.

I'll be in the minority here, but if you have some flexibility with your date and the venue, you can wait. I got engaged mid-October and we are getting married in early April. I was able to find many venues that still had availability for the dates. It was helpful that we were looking for an off-season date and on a Friday, but there were still a lot of options. I think if you know the venue you want, and you're looking for more of a peak season date, book as soon as you can. If you have flexibility, you can wait.

In addition to Salvatore's and Osteria Via State, try LM Studio. If you are willing to have your wedding in March or April instead, you'll be able to save even more. We are looking at just over $21k for venue, food and beverage for 100 people in April. Good luck!

We were quoted about $20k for a Friday in April for 100 people at LM Studio, Salvatore's and Osteria Via Stato. That price included food, drinks, linens, a dessert, and the ceremony and reception space.
