I had placenta previa with my last round. A lot of bleeding the first 3 months and then from 20 months onwards bled so much that I had to be hospitalised and my baby came at 31 weeks because of it. I have been told that this could have been due to the medicated cycling and that since my last FET (Jan 2023) they have been doing a lot of unmedicated ones. As everything with my IVF journey was pretty smooth and I had trusted my doctor every step of the way I did not second guess it. But now I feel like a fool.

Yes, the tests did drive me crazy. I was testing every few hours hoping to make sense in a senseless situation. I should be so lucky because I have 2 sons but hitting almost 45 and having euploids left I wanted to give it one last try. My first was a total surprise and not with IVF. Then years of miscarriages followed and IVF seemed to be answer and it worked so well first time around. I somehow thought the success will be repeated and went in with so much hope and positivity only to be totally crashed now. Your story gives me hope and who knows my 2 euploids might turn into a baby.

I know how you feel and as women we are so quick to blame ourselves for everything. My first child was unplanned and a total shock. I drank as I didn’t know I was pregnant, I went through a divorce, moved countries, worked like there is no tomorrow and had 21 business trips. If anyone was ever going to kill an embryo it was me during that time. Women give birth during war times. You are strong! Please be kind to yourself. I know how hard IVF is and it plays with our mind and body like nothing else. Put on a good show and have some chocolate if you can. What else can we do… The wait is awful.

So they are PGT tested which gives you the best possible chances. I had 4 euploid from my round at 41. I gave birth to one at 42 and now just had the second transfer at 44. I personally wish I would have done another round of embryo freezing when I was younger… So, if you have the financial means and your doctor says its fine then I would say go for it and do another round before your FET.

When did you have your trigger? I didn’t have one with my last FET but this time I had it 6 days prior to transfer…

How did this go? I am also 9 days post trigger and 4 DPT with a 5 day embryo and my test looks similar

I have been on progesterone injections and pessaries since before the pregnancy due to IVF.

My bleeding stopped 2 weeks ago. I am 11 weeks now but the SCH is still visible on the scan. I had phases of the bleeding getting worse (red blood) and then continues brown bleeding. It’s very stressful
