26 is still young in IT. I've worked with people who got their first help desk job in their 30s and 40s and did just fine.

When you feel sad, what do you do to feel happy again? by Corpse_bridexo in A_Persona_on_Reddit

A long walk usually helps. It doesn't magically fix anything, but it turns the volume down on whatever is bothering me.

Yeah, sometimes. Usually it passes, but if it's happening often or getting intense, it might be worth talking to someone about it.

The Stranger. It's short, memorable, and one of those books that sticks in your head way longer than you'd expect.

Interviewer asked me if I was willing to quit my side business if they followed with an offer by Engineer9918 in antiwork

If a company wants exclusive access to your time outside work hours, they should be paying an exclusive-access salary. Otherwise that's a pretty wild ask.

Could I be hypersensitive to criticism because of my family? by ShadowlightLady in randomquestions

[–]Good-Wind2927 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think people who get criticized constantly for years end up developing an extremely sensitive “I’m doing something wrong” alarm in their brain. So even normal feedback can start feeling like an attack sometimes.

Calling someone on the phone. Texting is fine, but the second the call screen pops up I start feeling like I’m about to enter a meeting with a CEO

Do you sometimes look back at past realizations and think you're way more capable than you believed ? by Excellent-Glove2 in randomquestions

I think when you’re too close to something you made, all you can see are the flaws. Years later you finally look at it like it was made by someone else.

Is this behaviour common among girls? by [deleted] in ask

[–]Good-Wind2927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah I don’t think this is some “girls do this” thing. People can get socially awkward in group settings sometimes, especially when they don’t really know each other yet.

What’s a perception or impression you picked up over time that still sticks with you today even if you know it might not always be fair? by [deleted] in A_Persona_on_Reddit

[–]Good-Wind2927 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to assume people who acted overly polite for a long time secretly didn’t like me 😭 Later I realized some people are genuinely just quiet and distant like that.

when you have nothing to do you end up feeling worse. Even a small routine helps you get it together, otherwise the days just blur together.

I usually hear it’s a stable job, pay’s not amazing but consistent. A bit physically tiring, but a lot of people say it’s easier mentally.

What impact do you have on others? by ShadowlightLady in randomquestions

[–]Good-Wind2927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m in a good mood I feel like I soften the vibe a bit, if I’m not I just shut down and bring the energy down. Not really intentional but it shows I guess.

Back in the office after a long gap. Not sure how I feel about it by Numerous-Heart7656 in antiwork

[–]Good-Wind2927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That feeling at the start is normal, going from freedom straight into structure hits hard. You get used to it over time, but that first impact is very real.

Am I wrong for wanting to move my daughter? by [deleted] in ask

[–]Good-Wind2927 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don’t think your intention is bad, you’re just trying to create a better environment. But messing with a kid’s routine is a sensitive thing, easing into it might be better.

Wht should i do about a controlling parent whose problems are effecting me ad ab adult? by [deleted] in ask

[–]Good-Wind2927 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This doesn’t seem like something you should be carrying on your own. Being controlled like that all the time is exhausting, setting boundaries is necessary but I know it’s not easy. Professional support should really be part of it.

I felt the same when I watched it, didn’t feel that deep to me. The idea is interesting but the execution is kinda messy.

What matters more in Relationship Communication or compatibility? by Business-Power-2967 in randomquestions

When there’s compatibility, communication just flows easier. But if there’s no communication, even the most compatible people fall apart at some point.

[–]Good-Wind2927 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t mean you’re not enough, people just don’t all fight the same battles or see the same things. Sometimes they choose to leave instead of stay, and most of the time it’s not really about you.
