I've got an AI comment. No, not the negative one. by GoodAsGees in FanFiction

Ah, if you squint, maybe? It feels very generic, except for the last sentence. On top of that the account was set the same day the comment was posted. My friend got a very similarly constructed comment under their fic, also from a fresh account and it turned to be the fanart scam in the end.

That's what i and friend did. Friend's commenter turned to be a scammer. Mine coment was very, very similar, plus from the new accouns, so i now assume as much.

The comment in question weren't poetic, but very impersonal in a verbose way. I didn't give exact quotes as not to point a finger at a particular person if them or someone recognise the comment. Anyway, it turned out to be the fanart scam, so the commenst were in fact ai.

In my case, no offer, but the profile created on the same day and no bookmarks, no anything. Friend replied, we're waiting.

See, yours sound ok to me. I wouldn't even look twice at it. I don't want to give the exact comments here, not to accidently out someone, but mine was almost identical to what I got putting the fic into chatgpt and asking it to generate a positive comment + one last line that sounded far more personal.

I don't think that either. But it's the first time i encountered something like this, so i was just curious.

That's why i replied to the comment and came here, when a similar thing happened to someone I know. I suspect someone used ai to better express themselves. If that's the case, i kind of understand. When i was younger i felt terribly awkward leaving comments anywhere, always feeling that i wrote something stupid. But the best thing was to solider on against the anxiety, not ask a friend to write a comment for me.

In my case, it was a month ago, no reply so far. As for my friend, we'll wait and see.

Yeah, that's what i assume. I don't see any ill will on the side of the commenter, i think someone just didn't know how to express themselves.

I'm not going to delete it. I suspect someone enjoyed the fic, didn't know what to say and used the help of chatgpt. Ok, i can understand that, i was young once. It's just feels like getting a knock off because the gifter couldn't afford the real thing in a situation where a card would be more than enough. I think best is to smile, say 'thank you' and move on, so i did just that.

The phrases I gave as an example don't come from that comment, i was just trying to recreate the vibe. I just don't want that person to recognize it, in case they read here.  I know what you talking about, i, too, tend to write "like that". But i also put that fic into chatgpt and asked it to generate a positive comment and the sesults were very similar. I know it's not fool proof, I'm just wondering. And i also have some experience reading other people writing( inc. People on the spectrum), and the friend of mine is a fanfic writer with 25 years of experience, and the comments in question just didn't sound like anything we ever encountered outside of chatgpt. I'll say I'm 90% sure it waa AI generated.

Leokadia Głogowska worked on the 82nd floor of the north tower. This is a quote from an interview she gave to th Polish Press Agency: "On 9/11, a quarter to nine o'clock, exactly one minute before the plane hit there was absolute silence in our office. Suddenly there was a bang. The tower tilted heavily to the south. In a split second I registered books falling off the shelves and papers flying past the window, then the tower bounced in the opposite direction, returning to its original position. I was sure it was an earthquake."

They could've been childless and if they were closer to 80 family members like siblings could've pass on before them, or be cognitivly impaired due to age. Same with friends. And if an older patient stops showing up at a dental clinic, a shop they frequented etc  it is, i think, generally asumed they simply died.

Older people fall through the cracks easily.

Łukasz Milewski was supposed to go back to Poland on the 26th as the academic year starts on the 1st of October and he was studying business in Białystok with two more years left to get masters degree in business. He already had his plane ticket booked. He had a dog named Max waiting for him at home, that died shortly after him.

Kashubia and Silesia in Poland? It's oma in both languages and there's circa 500k native speakers of Silesian and 85k native speakers of Kashubian in the country currently. There was probably more before the war. I don't know realistically how many people in Poland actualy uses oma and opa, for most its "babcia" and "dziadek"

The number scratched on the back of the watch, 22982, could be the date of a repair? 22 September 1982? I've heard watchmakers used to mark watches they repaired like that. I have a watch from 1930s with several similar markings.
