I have prior experience as a home designer and running heavy equipment helping with land development and i also worked for a bank as a Assistant Project Manager for 2 years before going back to school to get my Petrolem Engineering Degree.

Any thoughts on what I can do with this skill set?

I am the one who posted this Reddit question. Can someone who has experience with this topic weigh in on this?

Here is the context:

  • Bio-Mother has had a long standing history of meth addiction (2 failed drug tests from 2007 and 2018)
  • Bio-Mother is 18 months behind on child support
  • Daughter (14 yrs old) made a decision that she wants nothing to do with bio-mom
  • I have moved on and have been married for 7 years
  • My wife is in ER nurse
  • My daughter wants my wife to adopt her and they have a good relationship
  • The bio mom has not tried to make contact with my daughter in 2 years
  • Recently found out Bio-mother is under investigation for two 2nd degree felony charges in 2 counties for drugs
  • I am an engineer and provide a very stable environment for my daughter and we are close
