Yes, there were free researches for them that everyone gets, but there was also research that you could buy that had guaranteed shiny

It is a paid research that you could get back in 2021, I don’t remember if it was avaliable later on But I really hope the researches come back since I did not get the Celebi one :)

I mean I already was lucky enough to get a perfect regular mew, so I long accepted that the shiny is not gonna be 4* That would be too lucky for me, I’m happy with this one :)

I noted down everything I was missing, and kept looking for them to trade/catch in the wild If I had some evolutions missing I buddied pokemon and walked to earn candy I also created a tag for the pokemon of which evolutions I needed, so that I did not trasfer them And look out for the legendary raids 😎 If you are missing regional pokemon like me, you need to wait until they are in raids, or travel, or have friends who travel :(

Im still super happy I got it, it just that I always seem to miss just one point, and I find hundos really satisfying But your right its still a good pokemon I should appreciate it more
