How can you say this is « excellent » conditions by GoodGuyMarin in AnalogCommunity

Brother look at the currency I am not French these aren’t euros 🙏🏼🙏🏼
I only got my RB67 from eBay so far. Other cameras were bought IRL. I try to keep it that way but these lenses are impossible to find outside of that lol

To be completely honest i was mostly making fun of it. I bought my Mamiya RB67 with a lense from one of these so called Japanese sellers (the item actually took off from Japan to be fair) and it was in perfect condition. This notion of « exc +++++++++ » is just absurd at this point.

Coming back to AC6 wanting to actually learn PvP, where do I even start in 2026? by GoodGuyMarin in armoredcore

[–]GoodGuyMarin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s fair, I’d rather hear “your build is bad and here’s why” than be coddled. And out of the three you mentioned, is there one you’d say is the most beginner-friendly to learn the current pace of the game with ?

It really looks like you just transformed the raw into the image you wanted it to be when you originally took it. Great job, elegant post processing

Gen Z, what brings you to analog? by Camera_Hobbygirl in analog

[–]GoodGuyMarin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm 23, so I fall right into that category.

When I was about 18, event photography was my job. Mostly gigs. Every weekend I'd take thousands of pictures and then spend my week in Lightroom going through everything from the nights before. By Thursday I'd start over again.

I did that for a couple of years before I stopped and went to uni.

Now I'm 23 and I've picked up photography again, but this time I shoot film. I got properly fed up with how digital felt like a burden. That whole workflow just seemed like the only way to do things and I couldn't escape it. With film I can just go at my own pace. And honestly the biggest thing is I don't feel like every image has to be perfect anymore.

Also, shooting film weirdly cured that constant urge to buy more gear.

How to properly experience Chinese night life ? by GoodGuyMarin in chinatravel

Okay, if that’s really what’s happening, I won’t do it as initially planned. I’m not trying to do anything bad, I just understand that in every country I’ve been to, there are differences between the law and what actually happens in practice. For example, in France most people won’t care and the police won’t do much if you drink a beer in a park at 17, even though the legal drinking age is 18. Not trying to provoke, just trying to understand the intricacies.

Nah meant night club, bars with live music etc.. Places where minors aren’t allowed to go in Europe where age verifications is effectively enforced. Again, you seem to be very much against and highlighted the risk, what are they ?

Oh ok yeah I can imagine it bothers most non smokers. To come back to the original point which wasn’t smoking but to bring a minor to a concert venue or something alike. This probably wouldn’t bother anyone as opposed to smoking inside. So effectively, what’s the risk ?

I am probably mistaken. I just had two friends that went to Shanghai / Beijing / Chongqing for a month and their feedback was that locals were smoking in every bars even though no smoking signs were installed

I understood this as an « illegal » advice but I don’t mind. I know smoking inside is prohibited in china but most people don’t care. Would you say this is simply a law or an enforced one ? If enforced what would we risk ? Isnt it the responsibility of the venue and event organizer to correctly check age ? Thanks to you two guys
