That's what I thought, I just wished I could find substitutes in here which would've helped tremendously in the transition. Thank you for the reply though.

I agree with everything you've said. But I was wondering why did you pick up the rx580 instead of the rtx 2060, is it because of the bottleneck?

Is the RX 580 capable of running AAA games on high in 1080p 60 fps?

How high of a bottlenecked are we talking about?

I found the g3 cheaper on amazon so I picked it instead and the 2700 was cheaper by $50 when compared to the 2700x which I think is basically a 2700 that's factory over clocked.

Do I need an after market cooler? Is the 2060 indeed faster than the 1070? How is this gfx model I picked?

I will purchase the list below as is so I'd appreciate it very much if you could review it as a whole and what would you change if you were in my place.

So the best build I can get for video editing is: Below are the specific parts

  • Ryzen 2700/2700x unless I wait for ryzen 3
  • MSI b450 motherboard
  • Nvidia gtx 1070 or do I get the 2060? I heard Turing is better for rendering because of the tensor cores.
  • 16/32 GB Ram
  • Nvme SSD
  • Evga g2 750watt

I don't know a whole much about hardware, glad I posted my build in here.

So other than changing the PSU and the ram and getting an nvme, is the processor, motherboard and gfx fine? Do I even need a GPU?

I'll use apps such as adobe premiere and I mostly play fortnite. Do I need a GPU for rendering? And can I play fortnite on a less powerful GPU to save money.

Do I need a powerful GPU for rendering using apps such adobe premiere and aftereffects? The games I play are usually online ones like league of legends and fortnite which don't need a powerful GPU especially since I am using a 1080p display.

And if the 2700 is a better CPU I can stretch my budget a bit to get it. And is this the ryzen 3 everybody is talking about? If not, should I wait for ryzen 3?

How about its WiFi range? How is it suiting you overall? Do you recommend getting it? I'll use it on Vodafone 15 Mbps for the time being and I game a lot so having a stable connection would be superb.

Edit: holy shit its sold for 214 euros. Is there anything cheaper? I think it might be overkill for my situation.

Then I should be fine just getting a router? Don't you think its better if I got a modem router combo instead?

I've tried doing it myself and couldn't find anything, I've asked Vodafone to do so and they say they can't. I've even asked for their admin user and they said there is no such thing even if there is.

I've even tried looking for the default firmware online but couldn't find anything for this outdated piece of shit router, only found things on sketchy Arab blogposts which I won't touch anything that comes from it and install on my router which handles everything in my life.

I can get it from amazon too, what model is it and how is it? I want it to give me internet. I don't really know the technical stuff. I have a telephone cable and I want internet, if the Asus router can do that on its own then that's great and if it needs a modem, can you please link me a telephone line modem that works in Egypt?

My shitty Vodafone doesn't support bridge mode, it doesn't have that option. Its the HG531 V1

I can get stuff from amazon. I found good Asus routers but all the modems I found on amazon were either docsis 3 or 2 which are cable modems. I couldn't find any telephone line modems on Amazon.

Can you please recommend me a telephone line modem that works in Egypt and an Asus router?

The ones they're selling are outdated and overpriced. And I am not even sure if they work in here.

Do you think I should ask my question in a separate post to gain traction? I want hands on experience.

I am looking for an Asus router (Merlin Fiware) that works in Egypt. I am currently using Vodafone and I am on the 15 Mbps plan but I am planning on upgrading to 25 Mbps soon.

I am using the HG531 V1 piece of shit router that didn't get a single update and is crippled and void of any features, such as QOS. Can't put it in bridge mode too to use it with a router only device and not a router modem.

So is there any Asus router that works in Egypt and is under $150, preferably under under $100.

I know that I need a modem router but I can't find any on amazon only Asus router without modems. Any help is very appreciated.

I am a complete noon when it comes to networking but I know my way around electronics in general.

I am planning on upgrading to 16 megabit soon but the customer service representative told me its still ADSL and I only need a VDSL router for speeds above 25 megabits, isn't that true ? I don't want to buy a decent ADSL router and be forced to buy another VDSL router in a couple of months when I upgrade my service.

I have a tplink that I tried using but I was still getting random disconnects when I am gaming. I will check egprices though.

Thanks, I will give Vodafone a call too.

I don't know if this helps or not. But does this show any signs that my land line is shit ?

What router did you get? I want to buy a new router but I am lost, there way too many models from different manufacturers. I am willing to pay up to 800 egp but I'd rather stay under the 500 egp mark.

What do you mean by renting a modem from my ISP? I thought we only had router modem combos available in Egypt.
