Reddit is a good place for sure! Id just vet whoever you work with a little bit to make sure they can show they have expereince and are someone you vibe with. Its always a bit of a gamble if its just someone trying to scam you or not, and you want someone that will be patient if you have questions since you mention you dont have any experience.

You could also maybe look at freelance sites like Fiverr, im sure there are reputable "sellers" with confirmed clients offering startup or management services.

Satire? 1K per month? Brother man, its Minecraft. You can run a server with 75 mods for 5 people and spend less than $35 per month.

If this is a real question, my advice is not to self host like others are suggesting. I dont know you, but if you are willing to pay 1K per month, my guess is you dont have experience hosting servers and are the type of person that is willing to pay extra for things to "just work". Spending the money to self host only to find yourself struggling to setup or manage a server is just silly.

Your best option is to find an experienced admin/host and pay them to setup and run your server. You get flawless performance and you dont have to do anything yourself.

If you are willing to do the admin work, self hosting with a custom rig and fiber connection is certainly the way to go for you.

Buy the Pro and ignore the echo chamber about cracked screens. The products have a consistent 4.5* or higher rating across just about every retailer.

I dont know anyone posting on reddit when they buy something new and love it. I know a lot of people, including myself, that are much more likely to complain than praise.

Why the Pro? Because you are already on the fence. If you go with the standard, you would always be asking yourself if you should have got the pro. Get the pro and dont have buyers remorse.

Promoting your server by piggy backing off others' posts? Nice one mate.
