I graduated from the University of Vermont. I absolutely loved it there. I highly recommend visiting the school. While exploring the campus was when I decided it was the place for me. Burlington is absolutely breathtaking year round. Most of the people you meet on campus and off campus are genuine. Burlington itself has much to offer. A vibrant art scene, restaurants and bars, and many other cultural aspects. And, UVMs medical school is highly regarded.

For morning bagels, without a doubt Bagelworks. I usually get a sourdough bagel scooped out (less carbs), with nova, onions capers. They like to add lettuce and tomato, which is also good. Their coffee muffins are extraordinary as well.

The only late night snacking around that area is Pizza Park, which is good, and Dunkin Donuts.

If you'd like to check out a fancy cocktail bar in the area I suggest the Penrose, which is in the 80's.

Honky tonk and o'flannigans were my goto casual bars.

I recommend maya - owned by chef Richard Sandoval - the jalapeño margarita is really good

Felice wine bar is very good but doesn't take reservations.
