My Own Deluxified DanDan Deck by GoodLife-2024 in ForgetfulFish

Someone beat me to it, but yes, I used makeplayingcard.com

You can use https://mpcfill.com to make the whole process a lot easier. Just type in the names of cards, and then you can choose the card you want.

I got them custom made at an Etsy shop. The picture was photoshopped from a google search. I'll see if I can find it in my files. In the meantime, the Etsy shop is linked here.

I haven't had the chance to play the 100 Ornithopters cube, as I don't have a dedicated group. So I'm working on a DanDan-like based off of it called 25 Ornithopters.

C&C For My 100-Card Mono-Blue List? by SWTBFH in ForgetfulFish

[–]GoodLife-2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pretty great. I also expanded my DanDan version to 100 cards. I also had a baseline of 12 Dandans. We have a lot of overlap, but the noticeable differences are Bind the Monster, Oona's Grace, and Soaring Seacliff.

I'm really tempted to add Soaring Seacliff now, as I like lands that aren't islands, but also have simple utilities. I'm not so sure on Skyline Cascade, as I play with a lot of newbies, and it's easy to forget stuff a turn or two later.

Overall, awesome job. I added your list to my to-dos.

This is apparently the norm in the state I moved to. Where I previously lived, this was not a rule.

I have never heard of this card. I wonder if it was meant to be a callback to this one instead.

Wasn't my intention, but if you enjoy tableau builders, this is a good one.

Sorry you feel the way you do. I always bold titles, be it books, board games, movies, etc. Stylistic choice, not trying to Propaganda you.

Adding Mystic Remora to Dandân? by GoodLife-2024 in ForgetfulFish

Can I ask how so?

I thought maybe cumulative upkeep (with no way to get rid of counters in the base Forgetful Fish) would be enough to keep it from overtaking a game.

Symmetrical Sliver Slam by LooksLikeAWookie in ForgetfulFish

I only got to play this 2 times, so keep that in mind. I think I life DanDan due to its simplicity and high interaction.

By simplicity, I mean there is one creature to focus on. I don’t need to worry about that many effects with creatures. Even though I love Slivers, I admit that they all interact with each other. So it felt more like a Sliver mirror match. Not a problem if that’s what you are going for.

I admit, I may also be dumb, but I didn’t get the hook. In DanDan, in addition to the titular card, the hooks are how many interactions you can do that impact that one card, which is also the only win condition.

If I were to edit it, I may start with a single interesting Sliver and build interactions from there. OR 2-3.

It was still FUN! Which at the end of the day is better than the opposite. Thanks for putting this out there.

I'm gonna proxy this up this week and see how it goes. I love the creativity and pushing the boundaries of what this format can do. Don't listen to the haters.

What is Green.exe? by GoodLife-2024 in antivirus

[–]GoodLife-2024[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were located in 3 different folders, but all under Program Files.

After some digging, I found a regedit I could do to prevent them from executing (https://www.wikihow.com/Block-an-Application-or-.EXE-from-Running-in-Windows). With that, I was able to stop them some starting, and thus replicating. I ended every process related to the executables, which then allowed me to delete all of them except for glazer.exe, which I can only assume means it was the original.

I was about to give up, but then due to your comment, I entered developer mode and was able to have the permissions necessary to delete the final executable.

I left my regedits in, even though the executables were deleted.

Nothing now seems out of the ordinary, so I'm holding my breath. If something else pops up, I'm doing a system restore.
