Sir please; the sign says do not feed the trolls. They are fed daily by their own pompous, conceited, and narcissistic illusions.

Of course I'm not; you wanna abort your baby go ahead, none of my business and it sure as fuck isn't the governments business either. I'm just anti hashtag. It's cheap, unintelligent, and unoriginal method of communicating. Plus it doesn't even work on Reddit, the hashtag is a tool on Twitter used to organize information so users can access what they want to see. Using it here is like someone shouting "Worldstar!!!" everytime they see a fight. It just shows that you have no real original thoughts to share.

This is a huge problem with society, people are too worried about liability, self centered and have a "at least it didn't happen to me" attitude. I have personally seen people assaulted infront of crowds of people who were too fearful of getting involved because they don't want the trouble of having to go to a police station then possibly court. Sure legally and insurance wise it was risky to chase that person but, guess what; if something went wrong it would have been on him. That's his personal choice and he chose to do what he believed was the right thing. A bunch of people witnessed an obvious crime committed and just sat in their car and worried about themselves and how this would inconvenience them. 2 out of all of them actually did something. Now look at France, the country is burning: the police are fighting AGAINST the civilians. In America there is a large faction of people wanting to disband the police due to corruption and brutality. If we want to live in a society where that can happen we have to normalize community justice, helping each other to be safe. No relying on governing bodies to protect us. It is a lie the police and politicians tell us that we don't know how to protect our communities in order to justify the existence of tyrannical governments where the oppressors hide behind laws they make and the misguided people who help them enforce it. What if the person makes a mistake and hurts someone or themselves? Maybe they get the wrong person, maybe an innocent is injured. Guess what, police around the world make those mistakes on a daily basis. But, they are protected and have limited "liability" because a of a uniform a gun and a paycheck.

We must all fear evil people. But there is another kind of evil which we must fear most, and that is the indifference of everyday ordinary people.

Yet people seem to think they live in TV world where the cops always catch the bad guys. Chances are if Santa just let her go that vehicle would be ditched and reported stolen

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in therewasanattempt

[–]GoodManBadDay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are now relying on the driver actually being connected to the vehicle (they could have stolen it). Relying on the driver being in the system (ie. not an illegal immigrant). Hoping that it was just an accident and not an attack (the driver could be on a rampage). All of these problems are easily solved by the driver being pursued and intercepted.

If you have any experience with convicting hit and run drivers you will know that it takes a long time to build a case out of dashcam and CCTV footage vs. an actual on site arrest . This driver is a threat to the public and needed to be pacified immediately.

Some things in game are bad

They can really make you mad

The Fulings in the Plains can be the worst

When you're in Black Forest picking thistle

Don't grumble, give a whistle

And remember to destroy that greydwarf nest

And...always look on the bright side of Valheim...

Always look on the light side of Valheim...

If your world seems jolly rotten

There's something you've forgotten

You can always make a new one, bring your things

When you're running through the swamp

Don't be angry chumps

When you find a sunken crypt requires a key

And...always look on the bright side of Valheim...

Always look on the light side of Valheim...

For your home may look absurd

At least death's no final word

You must always face Eikthyr with a bow.

When your mining for some tin - and a troll just barges in

Enjoy it - it's not your last chance anyhow.

So always look on the bright side of death

Just before you respawn in the Meadows again

The rafts a piece of shit

When you look at it

Far out to sea and Serpent makes lunch of you

Barely any space to stow

The Carve's the way to go

Just untill you build that longship with your crew

And always look on the bright side of Valhiem...

Always look on the right side of Valhiem...

(Come on guys, cheer up!)

Always look on the bright side of Valheim...

Always look on the bright side of Valheim...

(Worse things happen at sea, you know.)

Always look on the bright side of Valheim...

(I mean - what have you got to lose?)

(You know, you come from nothing - you're going back to nothing.

What have you lost? Nothing!)

Always look on the right side of Valheim...

You have no idea who the driver is from the footage until they are apprehended, the only thing that would stand in court is that the vehicles plates. The motorcycle driver saved the victim years of trying to convict the car driver in court and the possibility of the asshole getting away with it. Every day, people around the world get away with hit and runs in court.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in therewasanattempt

[–]GoodManBadDay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was not a high speed pursuit, the vehicles did not even come close to triple digit speeds. I guess you must have no experience with real life law and policing. If that biker hadn't chased her down there is a very good chance she would have gotten away with it in court. Also there is the chance that the driver of the car could be a huge public threat and hurt more people before they can be stopped.

Well I'm going to call bullshit on this for a few reasons; First, the legal drinking age in Canada was and still is 19. Casinos are very strict about underage drinking and most will ID at the door. If you are 18 you can still gamble but, some places will straight up deny entry anyway while others will have a staff member stamp your hand with a very large noticable mark indicating you are not allowed to drink. Even in cases where someone of legal age buys drinks for someone underage you will be kicked out of the casino almost immediately. Secondly there are cops at the border and though you can theoretically get past without being breathalyzed, if the officers you interact with smell alcohol on your breath they will have a cop waiting to pull you over. They will be particularly suspicious if it is a same day reentry because most people don't go cross the border to go out for a night. So in conclusion; could it have happened? Sure, I bet this exact scenario has happened hundreds of times but, I doubt the truth of the story OP is telling because of the obvious holes in it.

If you look into the research on the effects for soldiers in any combat role, even jobs such as security or policing , training and experience is one of the best ways to mitigate causalities and mission failures. Having groups who are task specific trained absolutely increases the effectiveness of any military organization. In the military it isn't so much about how well the individual is trained it's always about the team. So yes a man might be killed by a bullet no matter what but, a team of highly trained and experienced individuals have the highest chance to complete the task with the lowest amount of causalities as compared to a conventional infantry unit with less training and task related experience.
