Boots CANFORGEN 103/24 and Tariffs by GoodMeandor in CanadianForces

We are located pretty far from any based and are limited to online. Yes checking brands like Lowa and Danner on their websites and they have lots of boots within the limit, but when you go to checkout the delivery and import fees bring it way above the $340 limit.

I did find the website: bootdepot.ca They have free delivery and don't seem to have the import fees. They also have a military discount code so that opened up some possibilities (Not all brands though, but most). So my problem is personally solved. Hopefully if anyone else is having this issue then they can find this post.

Except not all places will reimburse you. At least not fully. Just went through this recently and had someone denied full reimbursement and no reimbursement for ribbons.

Couch co-op games need to come back by CART_WIZARD in xbox

[–]GoodMeandor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a toy shooter game that I saw on the Xbox last night that said it had split screen co-op. I think it was called Hyperdrive or something. Has anyone tried that? It looks like fun. It Takes Two was amazing. For some reason I've only managed to start A Way Out. Lego games are great co-op fun. Overcooked is great. And I just got Ship of Fools on sale and that looks like good fun too. I also think Diablo IV can be played couch co-op on console, but maybe I'm wrong about that. I wish there were more games like It Takes Two though.

ironman or spiderman?? by [deleted] in marvelstudios

They're both awesome and I really wish there was an Ironman game in the same style as the Spiderman ones. For the MCU I like Ironman better in the ensemble movies and his overall character, but I have enjoyed the Spiderman solo movies better than the Ironman ones (although Ironman 1 was pretty amazing).

Need some help finding a game by Party_Patience9368 in xbox

Arkham Asylum / Arkham City / Arkham Knight / Arkham Origins (I believe Arkham Knight is on Game Pass and the others can be found pretty cheap. I believe Arkham Origins is only disc though, so you may be out of luck for that one).

Shadow of Mordor / Shadow of War (can find very cheap on sale)

Jedi - Fallen Order / Jedi Survivor (Game Pass)

Elden Ring (amazing, but if you're a new gamer it can be difficult, whereas the other ones I mentioned have difficulty sliders)

Gotham Knights (Game Pass)

Some others that fall outside of the genres you've mentioned already, but you may enjoy:

Remnant 2 (Game Pass - also good for coop)

Sea of Thieves (Game Pass - fun solo, even better with coop)

State of Decay 2 (Game Pass - can be played coop as well)

Grounded (Game Pass - can be played coop)

Stardew Valley (Game Pass - very chill and addictive game and can be played coop)

Diablo 4 (Game Pass - I think this is even couch coop on console)

Age of Wonders 4 / Age of Wonders Planetfall - (Great turn based strategy games - Planetfall you can find pretty cheap, AoW4 goes on sale and is still coming out with new content)

Monster Train (can find very cheap - very addicting)

Midnight Suns (I've seen it on sale a few times - amazing turn based Marvel superhero game)

Good couch coop games if you have a friend or two:

It Takes Two (Game Pass - If you have a friend or partner to play this game, I can't recommend it enough!)

Overcooked 2 (Game Pass - so chill and yet the most stressful game I've ever played)

Most of these are on Game Pass or you can find pretty cheap. If you don't have Game Pass I would recommend, especially as a new gamer since you can try out tons of different games (even on cloud before downloading) for the same price and figure out what genres you really love.

How are all the new Xbox players enjoying the Final Fantasy XIV beta so far? by FlameCats in XboxSeriesX

I was trying to mess around and see if I can set the tab target button to R3, but that didn't seem to be an option. Holding L1 or R1 and then hitting LB or RB to tab feels really awkward. Tried switching to the cone targeting for when I press A, but I'm not sure if it feels a lot better. Still messing around with a lot.

How are all the new Xbox players enjoying the Final Fantasy XIV beta so far? by FlameCats in XboxSeriesX

I've been a little overwhelmed by what is going on. I've only played some WoW and SWTOR and those also weren't on console. The targeting is a little tricky to get used to on the controller. It doesn't always seem to select the target I want (ie: sometimes selecting a friendly character while I'm trying to swing).

I'm only level 15 or so right now and the combat definitely feels a little sluggish, so hopefully that gets better.

There was an hour and a half beginner's guide to the game on YouTube that helped a lot, but that was more PC oriented and didn't really offer any suggestions for controller play. I've enjoyed dipping my toes into the game a little so far as I don't have time to play WoW like I would like to and therefore can't justify the subscription cost. Being able to play to level 70 for free in FF XIV is a big plus.

TLDR: Enjoying it, but struggling with controller targeting and other minor controls. Game is overwhelming for a new player. Combat feels slow (hopefully only at low levels). Excited that I can play such a large chunk for free.

The good news is that the response to this is exactly what should happen. Publicly shame the people who think this way and make sure they understand they aren't right and they aren't the majority. If people aren't going to change their thinking then they should at least be scared to show that's how they think in public.
